The County of Riverside's Fire Department has an opportunity for a Radio Communications Technician III (IT Communications Technician III) who will be assigned to the Fire Protection - Forest division in Perris.
The Radio Communications Technician III (IT Communications Technician III) will be tasked with performing repairs of communication repeaters and dispatch radio systems, repairs of mobile and handheld radios, and the department's keyless security door system. Additionally, the Radio Communications Technician III (IT Communications Technician III) will repair headsets and emergency warning lights in/on apparatus and provide repairs to telephone network systems and infrastructure.
Competitive candidates will possess four years, within the last five years, of experience in vehicle outfitting, 12-volt circuitry and wiring, installing, maintaining and repairing two-way radios and lead experience with team members. Project Management experience is highly desired.
This position follows a 9/80 schedule; please note that extended hours, standby shifts, and travel throughout the county are required.

* Troubleshoot, repair, program and resolve malfunctions of Code 3 emergency alerting systems within County emergency response vehicles/vessels (e.g. lights, sirens, PA, low level power sources).
* Utilize and administer enterprise network applications such as domain name services, network modeling, trend analysis, IP address management, and network configuration management.
* Research, evaluate and test proposed products, product versions and systems solutions.
* Coordinate all telephone and data services for County departments; coordinate the installation and operation of the County private telephone system, 911 emergency telephone system and all microwave and radio systems with County departments, cities and telephone companies.
* Confer with County staff and vendors to determine requirements and services and coordinate activities to ensure capability exists for inter-agency communication.
* Plan new and revised communications systems; estimate installation and recurring costs; coordinate the modification and installation of systems and leased data and transmission facilities; review and verify billings for completeness and accuracy prior to submission for payment; prepare recommendations and reports.
Education
Graduation from high school, possession of a certificate of proficiency issued by the California State Board of Education, or attainment of a satisfactory score on a G.E.D. test. IT job-related coursework from an accredited college, university, or trade school in computer science, computer information systems, data processing, information management, or a related field to the assignment is preferred.
Experience
Four years of successful VHF radio or microwave job-related experience, one year of which included either lead level duties or technically advanced RF job-related work. (One year as a Radio Communications Technician II [IT Communications Technician II] will satisfy the one year of lead or technically advanced experience requirement.)

The Fleet Services Technician will perform a wide range of fleet services administrative tasks in support of the Fleet Services Department, including fuel system program coordination, repair and maintenance support, vehicle accident repair processing, and general vehicle operations support. Responsibilities include consolidating daily fuel tank readings from all department fueling sites, reconciling fuel data with computer and dispenser records, and monitoring underground storage tanks for potential leaks. The selected candidate will also coordinates fuel system repairs, oversees maintenance of dispensing equipment, determines when outside contractors are needed.

• Reconciling fuel readings with computer disbursement and dispenser readings.

• Rectifying any discrepancies between daily tank stick measurements, fuel dispenser meter readings, and data captured by the Fuel Force Computer System.

• Oversees compliance with safety regulations by reviewing Fleet Services facilities for compliance with appropriate federal, state and local requirements; providing appropriate documentation when required; assisting in bringing facilities into compliance; developing and presenting on-site safety training to Fleet Services personnel.
• Assists supervisors with maintenance training by developing and presenting on-site training regarding new maintenance procedures or to upgrade their proficiency or qualifications involving on-going procedures.
• Provides warranty/specialized parts support by assisting Fleet Services Parts personnel in obtaining unusual parts as required; coordinating warranty repair of fleet vehicles with respective garages and local vendors, insuring that all warranty work and recalls are accomplished; entering data in computer and reviewing printouts; determining the use and re-use of parts from salvaged vehicles.

Position Duties

The City of San José is hiring an Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (PBCS) Technical Lead (Enterprise Supervising Technology Analyst) to provide technical support for Oracle PBCS which is used to prepare the City's Capital, Operating, and Revenue Budgets. The PBCS Technical Lead will also support the three custom budget applications: Fees and Charges, Ordinance Tracking, and Budget to Finance ERP Interface and the Budget Office (BO). The BO is responsible for developing and managing the City's operating and capital budgets and service fees and charges. This position requires strong technical hands-on experience and leadership skills, as well as the ability to take initiative and lead others. We are seeking an individual who is willing to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical and functional background supporting Oracle PBCS and/or Oracle Hyperion Planning, and multi-dimensional databases with strong analytical skills. In addition, development experience using .NET Framework, Java, or JavaScript to effectively manage and support custom-developed applications is essential. Expertise should cover the entire system implementation lifecycle including gathering business requirements, creating functional and technical designs, application development, and administration. Key duties include but are not limited to:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

East Campus Hospital: Urgent Care - Part-Time, Night Shift
Job Summary: The Emergency Services Technician serves in a combination role and is competent to perform as a Patient Care Assistant (PCA), Telemetry Technician (TT) and/or a Unit Secretary (US) under the supervision of a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, and/or physician in a fast-paced emergency department of a tertiary care facility with level one trauma designation. Demonstrates flexibility and readily accepts changing assignments and job duties at the beginning and throughout the shift as requested, e.g., Telemetry Technician, Unit Secretary, Patient Care Assistant. Provides direct/indirect, age-specific and developmentally appropriate patient care as directed and seeks information and clarification of duties throughout shift as necessary. Utilizes effective interpersonal skills to maximize excellence in customer service, safe patient care and professionalism. Contributes to a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of a basic arrhythmia and recognition course required. Completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program or completion of School of Nursing fundamentals required. Completion of Emergency Medical Technician program may be considered in lieu of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program. Minimum of six months experience as Paramedic transport, telemetry technician, unit secretary or patient care assistant preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrates competencies in fundamentals of patient care and knowledge of scope of practice for unlicensed healthcare team members. Able to read, write legibly and speak in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality; use computer, printer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Outlook, organization electronic medical record; troubleshoot patient care equipment; perform basic non-licensed patient care activities; comprehend and follow-through with instructions; relate and communicate positively, effectively and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate; accept direction; think critically and use good judgment; work independently with minimal supervision; perform basic math functions; compose written material; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; distinguish colors and smells as necessary for patient care; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone; identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the work place and patient care; see adequately to read computer screens, medical records and written documents necessary to position; discern temperature variances through touch.
Licensures and Certifications: Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association required. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Emergency Medical Technician preferred.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED/EXERCISED:
* Receives direct supervision from the Supervisor or Program Manager.
* May receive lead direction and or functional guidance from higher level staff
* May exercise technical and functional lead direction over temporary employees and training program participants.
* Interviews, screens and counsels program participants and refers residents to services such as: education, employment, job training, health services, credit counseling, child care and transportation, then follows up to ensure follow through.
* Prepares various reports and correspondence; maintains accurate case management notes; maintains caseload to meet the outcome requirements of all funding sources; maintains files regarding self sufficiency activities and services.
* Creates and implements outreach activities to meet agency and departmental goals and objectives.
* Establishes positive working relationships with representatives of community organizations, other governmental agencies and associations, Housing Authority management and staff, residents and the public.
* Responds to written and telephone requests and inquiries from the general public concerning programs. Prepares necessary correspondence.
* Researches, updates, and maintains data on participants, demographics, progress, needs and services; determines program effectiveness
* Assists in all aspects of the administration of the agency's public housing Resident Services programs which includes: designing and revising FSS Action Plan, monitoring participant contracts, calculating escrow credits, completing the FSS addendum to the HUD 50058 and adapting the program as needed to meet resident progress and needs.
* Perform all duties related to managing a PH caseload which includes: Verifying and documenting information provided by prospective and current tenants for certification, determining income and allowances to accurately calculate appropriate tenant rent and explain methodology to participants, interpreting and enforcing program rules and regulations.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION GUIDELINES:
Any combination of experience and education that would be likely to provide the required knowledge and abilities could be qualifying, as determined by the Agency. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience: Two years of increasingly responsible experience in social, housing or community services, including case management.
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school, or possession of an equivalent certificate or diploma recognized by the State of California (e.g. G.E.D.). An associate or bachelor's degree in social work, human services, counseling or a related field is highly preferred.REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
