Under general supervision, the Pick Up & Delivery (PUD) provides customer service activities related to picking up and delivery orders to and from FedEx Office stores and customer's place of business. Responsibilities are accomplished by driving a company vehicle and ensuring that regular servicing and cleaning of vehicles is conducted. The PUD Courier will receive daily route information from a centralized dispatcher. The dispatcher will have the ability to add or remove stops from the route as needed. The PUD Courier may also be asked to perform other duties within a FedEx Office Store, if there is a period of time where they are not assigned any pick-up/delivery activity.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for driving the company vehicle to perform pick-up/delivery service for FedEx Office stores and for customers
Pick-up duties encompass driving to the customer's place of business (or a FedEx Office store), receiving completed masters for photocopying orders and picking up supplies and inventory items from vendor's place of business
Delivery duties include: delivering finished photocopy orders to customers (or a FedEx Office store) and distributing marketing materials as requested
Receive daily route information from a centralized dispatcher via a company provided phone
Responsible for the operation of company Vehicle according to applicable motor vehicle regulations, company policy and auto insurance guidelines
Ensuring the proper upkeep and maintenance of the vehicle by conducting regular servicing and cleaning procedures
Responsible for maintaining pick-up/delivery logs and vehicle maintenance logs to document duties performed
Adhere to FedEx Office company and vehicle safety policies and guidelines
Follow accident procedures and observe traffic laws
Responsible for ensuring quality service is provided at each customer interaction by providing efficient and professional delivery service, answering customer questions, problem resolution and polite and caring transactions/interactions
Responsible for performing additional duties within the store during non-delivery times

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent education
Must be at least 21 years old and have a minimum of two years of driving experience
Valid and current driver's license
Ability to comply with any specialized regulatory or licensing requirements, as determined by geographic location and/or work assignment; FedEx Office will communicate any specialized regulatory or licensing requirements during the hiring process
Must meet and maintain the FedEx Office Motor Vehicle Requirements, to be audited annually

Performs the maintenance, diagnostic testing, overhauling, installation, and effects repairs on a large variety of types of refrigeration, dehumidification, air-conditioning, ventilation and heating systems equipment and controls within critically controlled environmental installations.
Research specifications as provided by other parties and makes installation corrections required ensuring proper function of equipment as required by tenant agency requirements.
Performs preventative maintenance functions which include, but are not limited to: changing filters; cleaning cooling towers, cleaning heating and cooling coils, etc.
Performs a wide variety of building maintenance tasks, which must be performed to proficiency including, but not limited to adjustments and repairs to HVAC and Electrical systems.
Functions independently and/or in teams. Relied upon to make decisions and sound recommendations concerning HVAC operations and maintenance.
Fabricates, assembles, and installs ductwork and chassis parts using portable metalworking tools and welding equipment.
Installs evaporator units in chassis or in air-duct system, using hand tools.
Cuts and bends tubing to correct length and shape, using cutting and bending equipment and tools. Cuts and threads pipe, using machine-threading or hand-threading equipment.
Joins tubing or pipes to various refrigerating units by means of sleeves, couplings or unions, and solders joints, using torch, forming complete circuit for refrigerant.
Installs expansion and discharge valves in circuit.
Connects motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connects control panels to power source.
Installs air and water filters in completed installation.
Injects refrigerant into compressor to test systems and adds Freon gas to build up prescribed operating pressure.
Observes pressure and vacuum gauges and adjusts controls to insure proper operation.
Tests joints and connections for gas leaks, using gauges, electronic leak detector, and electronic micron gauge or soap-and-water solution.
Wraps pipes in insulation batting and secures them in place with cement or wire bands.
Replaces defective breaker controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring to repair installed units using electrician's hand tools and test equipment.
Minor plumbing duties such as repairing and patching pipes; fixing leaks; unclogging sinks, drains, and toilets; and replacing plumbing fixtures.

Qualifications
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
Minimum of 4 years of experience (within the past 7 years) of progressive, hands-on experience in commercial or industrial settings in a large, complex environment.
Experience leading a team of skilled tradesmen or technicians
High School diploma or equivalent
EPA Universal certification
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Ability to communicate with a variety of coworkers and government stakeholders
Knowledge of computers and basic computer applications
Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
Ability to effectively complete tasks in a team setting or independently
Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Ability to perform heavy manual labor and work from heights
Must be able to work on roofs of buildings
Must be physically capable of traveling.
Must have ability to maintain assigned work hours
Must have sufficient endurance to perform tasks over a long period of time
Must have ability to climb ladders of varying heights
Working Environment:
The environment will be both inside and outside various facilities
This job may require work on the roof of a building or in the basement and confined spaces
May experience high noise levels in connection with equipment and construction tools
Must be able to perform work while wearing all required PPE.
Must be willing to accept requirements and participate in training for Confined Space to include all aspects of breathing apparatus Fit Testing.

UNT PDS (Printing and Distribution Services) Mail Services
handles official University mail, including USPS standard, first-class, priority, and metered mail, as well as inter-campus mail between departments.
Position Overview
This position is responsible for assisting in the operations of Printing & Distribution Solutions' Mail Center. The employee picks up and delivers mail across campus on an assigned route. In addition, Mail Services picks up and delivers mail to Eagle Post in the union daily.
Minimum Qualifications
1 year experience with USPS, FedEx or other shipping organization.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of mail processing and distribution.
Ability to drive various vehicles.
CDL is NOT required.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
