Delivery Associate/Delivery Driver SurfsideAngels LLC is an independent delivery service partner, serving customers from anew facility in Boca Raton. As a Delivery Associate (DA), you will deliverpackages to homes, retail locations, and other delivery locations. In thisposition, you will play a key role in keeping our commitment to exceed clients'expectations and make sure all the orders, large or small, are delivered ontime at the right place. General Responsibilities for Delivery Driver: Our Delivery Associates/Drivers drive a delivery van to drop off packages tocustomers within their community You can plan on working about 3-4 days a week in a full time position (weekendsand holidays included) You can plan on a typical working day being 8 to 10 hours Our drivers follow strict safety standards on and off the road You interact with customers and the public in a professional and positivemanner You use handheld technology to manage the delivery process and solve obstacles Ensure delivery vehicle is clean, fueled, and in good operating condition atall times May assist in training other team members and help coworkers Delivery Driver Work Environment: Drives a delivery branded high roof van up to 10,000 pounds to many customerresidences and businesses, climbs in and out of van, and walks up and downstairs as required to deliver packages according to established procedures inall weather conditions Flexibility is key; routes may vary and may be delayed due to traffic from onroad congestion, construction or other factors Set core schedule, but there may be adjustments including additional hours andpotential schedule changes depending on time of the year, peak seasons andother factors Basic Job Requirements for Delivery Driver: Must be at least 21 years old Must have a valid Florida driver's license in good standing (CDL not required) US Work Authorization High-School diploma or equivalent Must be able to operate and navigate a large delivery van with a gross vehicleweight of 10,000 lbs. or less Must be able to move, lift or push boxes up to 50 lbs., with or withoutreasonable accommodation Ability to lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretchduring shifts up to 12 hours long Are physically fit and capable of getting in and out of van every few minutes(up to 100 to 2000 times/day) to deliver up to 350 packages/day Capable of moving up and down stairs Must have the ability to effectively operate a GPS Preferred Job requirements: Prior professional driving experience Proven track record of reliability Excellent attention to detail with skill set to problem solve independently Ability to work with a team in a fast paced, ever changing environment Self-motivated and able to work in a self-directed environment with an upbeatattitude We Offer: Competitive Compensation - starting at $20.50/hour Flexibility to schedule, work from 3 to up to 4 days a week.
