The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner. Ability to use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections, etc. Responsible for keeping vehicles clean, maintained, and completing daily vehicle inspections prior to operating. Responsible for keeping delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and monies collected secure at all times. Clock in/out according to company policy. Other additional duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, general stocking and straightening stock, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders, etc. May occasionally assist customers, serve as a cashier, and/or help with merchandising tasks, when business dictates. Responsibilities: Safely operate and maintain delivery vehicles and trailers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers Safely load, secure, deliver and unload rental tools and equipment Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation, to include photographing condition of rental assets before and after delivery and pickup Perform routine maintenance on delivery vehicles and trailers, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and general cleanliness Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and other equipment in order to load or provide basic demonstrations to customers Perform minor repairs (with guidance from the equipment mechanic) when necessary in order to retrieve downed equipment from a jobsite Maintain a clean and safe vehicle and working environment in accordance with company policies and procedures Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and traffic laws Provide excellent customer service, including timely and professional communication with customers and flexibility to meet their delivery and pickup needs Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Each Delivery Driver plays an essential role in ensuring our customers receive their order in a timely and friendly manner. Delivery Drivers may spend their shifts folding boxes, taking phone orders, assisting Restaurant Associates with back of house duties including making the finest quality product, and of course, delivering food orders to our customers. A driver may spend anywhere from 30% - 70% of their shift delivering orders and will assist where needed in the restaurant when not on deliveries. The most successful Delivery Drivers perform their role safely, efficiently, and accurately, making sure all orders are correct before leaving the restaurant. Requirements: Delivery Drivers must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and valid automobile insurance.
