Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Safely drives truck to deliver such items as wine, beer and non-alcoholic products to customer's place of business.
• Collects payment from customers and records transactions on customer invoice/receipt.
• Reviews customer orders and ensure proper delivery of product.
• Records sales or deliveries information on a delivery record.
• Issues or obtains appropriate customer signature on invoice/receipt for pickup or delivery.
• Listens to and resolves service complaints.
• Places stock in appropriate place.
• Sets up merchandise and sales promotion display or issues sales promotion materials to customers.
• Collects or picks up empty containers, kegs or rejected or unsold merchandise. Returns empty containers, kegs and/or product to the warehouse for distribution back to supplier or to inventory.
• Inspects loads and ensures proper packing and security is in place in order to reduce product breakage and vehicle damage. Loads truck when necessary.
• Ability and willingness to load/unload and/or deliver ALL products that may be ordered by our customers
• Proficient in the use of telematics devices; to include, but not limited to delivery routes and driver logs.
• Uses electronic devices to accurately and consistently record start and stop times on our time clock device assuring hours of service are recorded and remain in compliance with DOT Regulations.
• Completes training assignments by management in a timely manner, including but not limited to Worklete and Pro-Tread.
• Cleans inside of the cab and box of the assigned truck.
• Performs daily routine vehicle inspection reports including notating damages or defects to the truck both pre and post trip.
• Arranges repairs or maintenance as needed while working directly with management.
• Uses all company equipment as required.
• Performs job essential duties and responsibilities while being monitored via DriveCam.
• Moves inventory in warehouse and participates in inventory
Education and/or Experience
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PURPOSE
Prepares equipment for delivery to the customer for the purpose of demonstration, rental or sale, and instructs customer on basic equipment operating procedures. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager or senior technicians.
BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Operates and maintains vehicles, tools, and equipment required in the pickup and delivery process
· Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
· Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments
· Transports equipment to/from customers and/or between dealer facilities
· Maintains records of pickup and deliveries, and obtains necessary signatures and receipts
· Maintains all required certifications in line with DOT
· Accounts for all time and for all distance traveled in performing assigned duties
· Maintains assigned trucks and related equipment in good condition
· Ensure proper tie down and transport of equipment without damage
· Assist customers in the safe and proper usage of equipment and recommended additional equipment and supplies to help them perform each task more efficiently
· Proper usage of company credit cards for fuel and maintenance and submission of receipts on a weekly basis
· Follow safety procedures for loading and unloading of equipment
· Wash and prep equipment for in-shop service work or return to customer
· Assist in cleaning and washing company vehicles as necessary
· Coordinate prep of envirocrates, pallets, planter stands, etc. for return to John Deere
· Cell phone is for company usage only. Driver must adhere to motor vehicles safety rules
· Any other tasks as requested by supervisor
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment used in pickup and delivery process
· High school diploma or equivalent experience required
· Valid driver's license required and must maintain a driving record per insurance carrier standards
· Ability to operate a forklift, preferred
· 1+ year(s) experience as a pickup and delivery driver
· Must be effective at time management
· Basic parts and machinery knowledge, preferred
· Ability to work in a customer focused environment
· Must be able to back truck/trailer combinations at acceptable levels
· Have a basic understanding of OSHA, DOT and EPA regulations
· Must be able to communicate effectively and positively with customer and dealership personnel as an ambassador for the dealership
