BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Operates and maintains vehicles, tools, and equipment required in the pickup and delivery process · Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments · Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments · Transports equipment to/from customers and/or between dealer facilities · Maintains records of pickup and deliveries, and obtains necessary signatures and receipts · Maintains all required certifications in line with DOT · Accounts for all time and for all distance traveled in performing assigned duties · Maintains assigned trucks and related equipment in good condition · Ensure proper tie down and transport of equipment without damage · Assist customers in the safe and proper usage of equipment and recommended additional equipment and supplies to help them perform each task more efficiently · Proper usage of company credit cards for fuel and maintenance and submission of receipts on a weekly basis · Follow safety procedures for loading and unloading of equipment · Wash and prep equipment for in-shop service work or return to customer · Assist in cleaning and washing company vehicles as necessary · Coordinate prep of envirocrates, pallets, planter stands, etc. for return to John Deere · Cell phone is for company usage only.
