RMB is seeking a part-time employee located in reasonable proximity to our Burnsville, MN lab. Our Territory Representatives are responsible for performing the daily pick-up and delivery of various items with an emphasis on safety, accuracy, and customer service. Territory Representatives are called upon to interact with a diverse portfolio of existing and prospective clients and partners to perform reconnaissance, promote RMB services, and make referrals. Duration of work shifts will vary depending on the season and the client sampling schedule/volume. Most work shifts will be between 3 and 10 hours and include some overnight trips. This is an on-call Monday through Friday route. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Safely transport client samples, re-stocked return containers, supplies, interoffice mail, and related material. Operate a smart phone, desk-top, or mobile computer to accurately record visits, plan and execute routes, communicate, record vehicle-related data, and accomplish time and attendance reporting. Complete a daily written, legible log of route stops, times, and volume. Strictly observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules. Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior. Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction. Conduct pre/post trip vehicle inspections with some routine maintenance and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly vehicle. Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients. Work to promote RMB team culture. Demonstrates a positive and polite demeanor and shows respect, in words and actions, towards all individuals and groups. All other job-related duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High School diploma or equivalent. Relevant industry/driving experience preferred. Must be 21 years of age. Drive a vehicle throughout the shift on various roads in varying conditions. WORKING CONDITIONS RMB labs are indoor, climate-controlled environments. Time on the route is, in and out of the vehicle frequently; climate controlled while driving and subject to current weather when making visits. Client/Partner visits are typically indoors and will vary from large shops, to controlled labs and offices, to treatment plants, to residences, and retail spaces. Pickup and delivery of packages of various sizes and weights from customers in many different locations, to be completed in a timely and courteous manner. Essential Functions: Possess and maintain valid drivers license with safe driving record. Operate motor vehicle in safe and legal manner. Be able to quickly locate specific addresses. Be able to communicate and complete assigned tasks via a smartphone application (training provided). Hand-load/unload material, as required. Walk and climb stairs. Have the ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. regularly, as required. Must have sufficient literacy skills to read addresses and specific instructions efficiently, and complete required paperwork. Accountabilities: Deliver packages safely and in a timely manner. Know, understand, and follow all company policies. Be available to work assigned and on-call shifts, clearing any changes with supervisory personnel. Uniform shirt, jacket, ID badge, black or navy slacks and approved footwear must be worn at all time while on the job. Supervision: First line supervision is dispatchers/customer service. Additional supervision received from assigned Quicksilver personnel and managers as needed. Qualifications Education & Experience: No formal requirements; must be literate and fluent in English. No delivery experience required but helpful. Must be 21 years of age or older. 7 year proven safe driving record. No more than 1 minor moving violation within the last 3 years or DUI/Careless Driving within 5 years. Physical Requirements: Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Must provide current Motor Vehicle Report within last 30 days. Ability to lift 70 lbs. as required. Walking and climbing stairs. Be able to sit in vehicle for extended periods of time and move in and out of vehicle as needed. Pass Department of Transportation physical and/or drug and alcohol screen (when required). Pass a Work Simulation screening (when required) Working Conditions: Most working time spent in vehicle or loading/unloading packages. Required to drive safely in all kinds of conditions (adverse weather conditions, traffic, etc.). No smoking is allowed on the job. Smoking is not allowed in vehicles.
