About you:
Provide ALS clients with all necessary sampling activities, sample pick-ups and drop-offs.
Store all samples in a cooler with ice and deliver to ALS Sample Receiving.
Provide an accurate and completed chain of custody record of any sample in your possession.
Convey any ALS client requests or concerns to the Field Services Supervisor or appropriate Customer Service Representative.
Maintain routine vehicle maintenance, including fluid checks and/or replacements, exterior and interior cleaning of company vehicle.
Ensure compliance with field service sampling plan, assigned SOP's, QA manual and ALS Client Service Manual.
Professional appearance and conduct to both ALS staff and clients.
This position will include some bottle prep as part of the daily responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:
Current Driver's license with clean driving record
Ability to operate company vehicle.
Knows the region and able to read maps.

Ensure timely and accurate delivery of medical specimens to designated destinations, adhering to emergency coverage needs

In this role, you will:
Perform a vital part of the patient care process by making sure that reports, records, supplies, and medical specimens are successfully transported between the laboratory and healthcare provider locations.
Ensure proper specimen handling, transport, and safe operation of a motor vehicle - rain or shine!
Interact with a variety of clients and commit to customer-focused service.
Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
All you need is:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver's license and an excellent driving record for the past three years.
Confidence operating a vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions and navigating routine hazards of the road.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under time constraints, without close supervision.
Physical capability of light to medium lifting (up to 50lbs).
Bonus points if you've got:
2+ years of experience operating conventional vehicles for business purposes. This includes cars, trucks, and/or vans.
Knowledge of medical terminology.

Maintain routine vehicle maintenance, including fluid checks and/or replacements, exterior and interior cleaning of company vehicle.

Position
Rocky Mountain Laboratories is seeking a reliable 1099 contractor for emergency coverage as part of our courier team in Las Vegas. This role is essential for ensuring the timely and secure transport of medical-related materials to and from internal and external customers. Shifts are likely to occur as needed, typically from 3:30 p.m. to midnight, providing critical support to our laboratory and client operations.

Emergency coverage courier position. 1099 contracted role.
Schedule:
As needed, typically 3:30 p.m. - midnight.
Ideal for individuals with availability after 3:30 p.m., especially those already working flexible or gig-based schedules who can accommodate short-notice assignments.
Responsibilities:
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of medical specimens to designated destinations, adhering to emergency coverage needs
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle, including regular inspections and reporting any maintenance issues
Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and guidelines while operating the vehicle and handling medical specimens
Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and other team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and special instructions
Handle specimens with care and attention to detail, ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and storage during transport
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or inquiries from clients or recipients during pickups and deliveries
Assist with loading and unloading specimens, equipment, and supplies as needed, following proper lifting and handling procedures
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all pickups, deliveries, and related activities using company-provided software or paperwork
Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot issues or challenges encountered during daily operations
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Personal liability auto insurance (no additional coverage required for company vehicle use during shift)
Active smartphone (Android or iPhone) with adequate data plan
Flexibility to work on short notice for emergency coverage
Minimum of 2 years of driving experience in prior roles
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Ability to operate a vehicle for long periods and handle various driving conditions (night driving, weather)
Comfort using smartphones, tablets, routing software, and digital forms
All positions require time zone awareness, including the impact of daylight saving time, as we are a multi-state organization with teams and partners across different U.S. time zones. Clear communication and timely coordination are essential.
