Position
Rocky Mountain Laboratories is seeking two 1099 contractors for emergency courier coverage in the Draper, Utah area. Contractors will provide essential specimen retrieval, supply delivery, and transport of medical-related materials to internal and external customers. Paid training is provided, and a company vehicle will be available during shifts.
This role requires professionalism, punctuality, clear communication, and technical proficiency to navigate routing software, documentation apps, and GPS systems efficiently.

Responsibilities
Retrieve and deliver medical specimens to designated destinations following established protocols
Conduct supply deliveries as needed to clients or internal locations
Maintain cleanliness and report maintenance needs for the company vehicle
Follow safety regulations while operating the vehicle and handling specimens
Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding pickups, deliveries, and special instructions
Ensure careful handling, labeling, packaging, and storage of specimens during transport
Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries
Load and unload specimens, supplies, and equipment safely
Accurately document pickups, deliveries, and activities using company-provided systems and mobile apps
Navigate using GPS and routing software to ensure efficient travel and timely deliveries
Identify and escalate issues such as delays, specimen concerns, or routing challenges
Assist with additional operational support as needed
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Required Qualifications
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Active smartphone (Android or iPhone) with an adequate data plan
Personal liability auto insurance
Minimum of 2 years of driving experience in a courier or delivery role
Comfortable using GPS, routing software, and mobile documentation tools
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Ability to operate a vehicle for long periods and handle various driving conditions
Excellent communication skills and commitment to HIPAA compliance
Preferred Qualifications
Previous medical courier or healthcare delivery experience
Familiarity with chain-of-custody documentation
Experience working in fast-paced, time-sensitive delivery environments
All positions require time zone awareness, including the impact of daylight saving time, as we are a multi-state organization with teams and partners across different U.S. time zones. Clear communication and timely coordination are essential.

Essential Functions:
Primarily responsible for in-house pickups and deliveries (inside ARUP campus), limited on-road (outside of ARUP Campus) routine route, or short point-to-point deliveries and STAT pickups.
Transport specimens, reports, and supplies per electronic route sheet or as requested, making sure that all shipments either into ARUP or from ARUP are handled correctly.
All routed stops completed within 10 minutes of the target time as recorded in the GML tablet.
STAT pickups should be logged on ARUP STAT tracking slips according to the proper procedure
Learn all aspects of assigned route (on road or in house) and becomes familiar with yellow bag and STAT deliveries.
Complete all paperwork and log all entries as assigned
Responsible for the proper use and care of ARUP company equipment. Report any vehicle, tablet, or other equipment problems to the Dispatcher and Local Courier Supervisor promptly.
Manifest all specimens picked up at local clients or received in shipping containers from out-of-town clients.
When not performing in-house or on-road routing, assist cleaning and organizing box inventory and supplies on the dock.
Clean out specimen courier totes at the end of each shift. Make sure no specimens are left in the courier totes or the vehicle at any time.
Obtain the permission of the Transportation Coordinator, Lead on Duty or the Local Courier Supervisor prior to taking breaks or lunch.
Provide coverage at the direction of the Transportation Coordinator on duty, Courier Lead, or the Local Courier Supervisor.

Essential Functions:

Provides customer service support for inbound/outbound Medication Therapy Management (MTM) pharmacy calls from members, providers, and pharmacies. Contributes to overarching pharmacy strategy for optimization of medication related health care outcomes, and quality cost-effective member care.
**Shift: 10-6:30 PM MST**
**Essential Job Duties**
- Handles and records inbound/outbound pharmacy calls with members, providers, pharmacists, pharmacies and technicians - ensuring departmental and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) standards are met.
- Educates Molina members on the urgency, positive impacts, and importance of completing an annual comprehensive medication review with pharmacists, and maintaining good medication adherence.
- Enforces Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance standards and regulations.
- Provides clerical services and support to pharmacists and technician staff, and support for day-to-day pharmacy operations as delegated.
- Adheres to pharmacy policies and procedures related to appropriate call resolution/transfer to internal departments as required.
- Utilizes appropriate resources to ensure member contact information is current and up-to-date.
- Effectively communicates general Medicare and Medicaid plan benefits to existing pharmacy members.
- Interacts with appropriate primary care providers to ensure member registry is current and accurate.
- Supports pharmacists with completion of comprehensive medication reviews through pre-work up to case preparation.
