Scope of Services:
The Instructional Designer will support the development and execution of training programs aimed at driving employee learning and performance improvements across various business functions, specifically in relation to the Workday Time Tracking integration project. The role involves collaborating closely with internal teams to analyze learning needs, design and implement training strategies, and assess the effectiveness of the learning initiatives.
This consultant will be responsible for ensuring that all learning solutions are tailored to support the integration of Workday Time Tracking with other systems, driving efficient system usage and adoption. As part of the project, the Instructional Designer will focus on aligning training programs with system changes, business processes, and technical updates related to the Workday Time Tracking module and its integration with other HR systems. Role, Responsibilities & Deliverables:
• Audience Analysis & Change Impact Assessments: Participate in analyzing audience needs and conducting change impact assessments to identify key learning requirements. Use these results to inform the development of tailored learning strategies for the Workday Time Tracking implementation.
• Learning Strategy & Plans: Design learning strategies and plans for each audience group to close identified knowledge and skill gaps and ensure smooth adoption of Workday Time Tracking functionalities. Develop training schedules, objectives, and content outlines for system users.
• Training Evaluation & Effectiveness: Create and implement learning assessments to measure the effectiveness of training programs, instructors, and materials. Analyze feedback and performance metrics to ensure continual improvements.

Experience & Skills:

**Responsibilities**
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Instructional Designer/Developer is responsible for scoping, designing and developing learning solutions using a variety of modalities, to support various corporate functions. This is a cross-functional role requiring some stakeholder coordination and alignment, partnering closely with central L&D and some corporate functions.
Primary responsibilities include learning program design and development, scoping, measurement and evaluation. Expertise in content authoring software is essential. Instructional Design
· Leverage adult learning principles and standard design methodology to modify and create high-impact learning content aligned to business goals.

The pay range for this position is $74,750 - $138,000.

Summary
This position supports the college or department's instructional design/technology initiatives by informing and training faculty and staff of current instructional technologies, providing support to faculty in their use of technology and media, providing instruction on the effective implementation of technologies within the curriculum, developing effective multimedia content, and designs intended course structure to each individual learning objective and breaks those into component skills, practice activities, and assessments.
Principal Functional Responsibilities
Instructional Design and Academic Projects: Collaborate in the design, development and support of curricular projects which involve the use/application of instructional technologies in alignment with adult learning theory. Assist with learning management systems such as course shell creation and customer support. Assist with troubleshooting course creation, roster uploading, training, upgrading systems and the creation of documents, as necessary. Collaborate with faculty to find academic technology solutions to various needs/challenges within the curriculum and classroom technologies. Identify best practices to further the academic excellence of each of the colleges and promote exceptional student experience.
Instructional Technology Training and Resources Development: Design, develop and deliver workshops to introduce faculty to emerging instructional technologies and their effective application in teaching and learning (student response system, desktop recording, web conferencing, etc.) Design and develop online training materials for students, faculty, and staff for utilizing various educational technologies which are specific to the university's implementation.
Video Production and Multimedia Development: Design and produce professional quality instructional videos throughout all stages of production.
Project Management: Work in conjunction with assigned supervisor to evaluate, disseminate, and manage academic technology projects
Educational Research: Research, evaluate, and recommend instructional technologies, software applications and best practices. Stay current with new and emerging technologies that support learning.
Other Duties: May oversee the work of student assistants and interns. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Educational Media, Visual Communications Technology, Instructional Design/Technology or related field.
* Minimum three years' experience producing videos with professional video production equipment.
* Experience developing and maintaining web sites, educational technology, education, etc. to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based applications such as desktop recording, lecture capture, web-based video conferencing, student response, and learning management systems.
* Proficient with Articulate products and Adobe Creative Cloud video editing products for instructional design and academic projects.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Matters (QM) guidelines and their application in instructional design.
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree.
* Experience with online course design and developing online courses that are QM certified.
* Experience with online and/or hybrid course delivery in higher education.

Engage with the current workforce, local employers, and education providers;

Provide a wide view of the current workforce development landscape for community agencies, organizations, businesses, and schools;

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Developing the Talent Pipeline - In collaboration with the Fayette County Business Advisory Council (BAC) and the regional Southern Ohio ESC Business Advisory Council (BAC):
Work with employers to monitor industry skill and credentialing needs and work with educators to ensure that programs are available to help K-12 and post-secondary students attain said skills.
Work with school counselors/career coaches to facilitate resources to identify strengths, aptitudes, and talents and how these translate into the workforce and can guide career paths, through the implementation/expansion of programs currently in use by partner school districts.
Engage students in career exploration, with a focus on understanding the opportunities for rewarding careers available in Fayette County through grade-level appropriate experiences for elementary, middle, high school, and post-secondary students, such as industry immersion tours, career exploration fairs, after-school programs, summer camps, classroom curriculum, and career mentors.
Work with Fayette County schools and businesses to coordinate a full spectrum of work-based learning opportunities, such as job shadowing, internships, and apprenticeships, providing one central point of contact to ensure a standard experience for students, no matter their home school, and businesses, no matter their industry or size.
Develop relationships with employers as active participants in career exploration activities, as grade level and industry appropriate.
Facilitate communication between employers and educators to identify best practices for connecting with schools and businesses including benefits of and guidelines for all career exploration and work-based learning opportunities.

Job DutiesWhat You'll Do:Assesses localized facility training needs and plans training activities to meet those needs for annual mandated in-service training and new employee orientation.Incorporates annual training mandates into annual facility training plan.Schedules and conducts training programs accordingly (e.g., reviews, revises and prepares training materials and/or writes lesson plans.Sends training announcements.Maintain registration and attendance rosters.Schedules instructors and/or instructs classes.Reserves training/conference room space.Instructs and coordinates new employee orientation and in-service training to include but not limited to firearms, unarmed self-defense, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), OC (pepper spray) and transportation procedures, and if applicable PR24.Conducts regular inspections of staff safety equipment, including firearms and firearms related equipment, handcuffs, vests, pepper spray as well as participates in firearm inspections.Maintains employee database (e.g. Enterprise Learning Management) for purposes of creating and completing activities related to employee's training record.Maintains records and reports related to training activities (e.g., compiles training data; prepares correspondence.Disseminates information regarding scheduling and course material; maintains employee training files).Operates audio/visual equipment to include but not limited to VCR's, DVD players, video cameras, digital cameras, overhead projectors, LED machines and computers.Attends and successfully completes training sessions for initial instructor classes within allotted probationary period and maintains re-certification (e.g. Firearms, unarmed self-defense, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), OC (pepper spray) and transportation procedures and if applicable PR24. Scope of Services:
The Training Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the training strategy and programs for the Workday Time Tracking implementation. This role involves collaborating with the project team, business stakeholders, and internal/external trainers to ensure that all users are well-prepared for the new system. The Training Lead will be tasked with assessing training needs, creating training materials, coordinating training sessions, and measuring the effectiveness of the training program. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in HRIS training, adult learning principles, and system implementation training strategies.
Role, Responsibilities & Deliverables:
1. Training Strategy Development
Develop a comprehensive training plan and strategy for the Workday Time Tracking implementation, tailored to different user groups (e.g., HR, Leaders, Employees, Administrators).
Define training objectives and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.
2. Needs Assessment and Content Creation
Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and areas where additional training is required.
Develop an overall training workplan - which will include support from additional instructional designers (internal/external)
Develop training materials, including user guides, quick reference sheets, training manuals, and presentations tailored to Workday Time Tracking functionality.
Collaborate with SMEs and project teams to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
3. Training Delivery and Coordination
Lead the delivery of training sessions, including virtual and in-person training, ensuring that all employees receive training before the system goes live.
Coordinate schedules for training sessions and manage participant registration.
Ensure that training sessions are interactive and engaging, using a blend of live demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and eLearning modules.
4. Develop Train the Trainer Approach
Develop an approach / materials and facilitate train the trainer session(s) to enable trainers to be prepared to facilitate in person and virtual sessions
5. User Support and Documentation
Provide post-training support to users, answering questions, providing troubleshooting assistance, and ensuring continued engagement with the new system.
Maintain comprehensive training records, tracking attendance, completion rates, and feedback from participants.
Develop and maintain documentation, including FAQs and self-service resources for end users.
6. Monitoring and Evaluation
Assess the effectiveness of the training program using feedback, assessments, and system adoption metrics.
Identify areas for improvement in the training process and continuously refine the training approach.
Regularly report on the progress of the training program and ensure alignment with the project timeline.
7. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with stakeholders, including HR, payroll, IT, and business teams, to ensure that training programs meet the needs of the organization.
Engage with project management and the change management team to ensure that training supports smooth system adoption and transition.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in training, particularly in HRIS, system implementations, or other enterprise software training programs.
Proven experience in creating and delivering training programs for large-scale systems, preferably Workday or similar HRIS platforms.
Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams to design and implement successful training strategies.
