The City of Avondale is accepting applications for the position of Court Clerk III assigned to the City Court department. This is a full-time, FLSA non-exempt position, with benefits.
The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Performs specialized judicial and legal support, administrative, clerical, financial, cash handling, and customer service functions in one or more areas of the court. Processes class I through Class III misdemeanor Criminal cases and processing Civil Orders and record hearings according to the Arizona Revised Statutes and recommendations from Arizona Supreme Court. Screens court-ordered individuals to determine their ability to pay sanctions, fines, and fees; monitors compliance with court orders; and/or performs reconciliation methods.
Essential Functions
Performs pre-adjudicated case processing by entering citations, complaints, financial information, case details, and arrest records into the court processing system, processing motions, and distributing case detail events calendar to appropriate parties.
Performs post-adjudicated case processing by updating case information, verifying requirements and agreed on terms of the case, processing inmate letters, docketing cases, and verifying compliance.
Processes in-custody paperwork by accounting for bonds received, forwarding in-custody information to various agencies, and providing assistance to the Judge during daily arraignments.
