The CDL Shuttle Driver , under the general supervision of the Shuttle Supervisor, provides safe and courteous and on-time transportation to resort guests and staff to and from fixed shuttle stops both on resort and off, during a scheduled shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be assigned)
+ Must be able to communicate by radio and/or cell telephone.
+ Must be able to provide verbal and/or written reports and respond to operational issues per prescribed policy.
+ Must have a clean driving record and a valid Vermont Commercial Driver License, Class C with a Passenger Endorsement.
+ Drivers are subject to random DOT drug and alcohol testing and must have a valid license and DOT medical examiners card at the time of hire.
+ Must undergo and successfully pass an annual DOT medical examination.
+ Must be able to perform pre-and-post-trip vehicle inspections, cleaning and servicing to assist in maintaining vehicles in a safe operating condition.
+ Must be able to follow an on demand schedule of pick-ups and drop-offs on resort as well as at transportation hubs and terminals.
+ Must follow a schedule of pick-ups and drop-offs at on resort designated stops as well as all guest hotel, condominium, town home or cottage locations as well as off resort locations designated for employee pick-up and drop off.
+ Must adhere to traffic regulations, collect fares and provide verbal information to the public regarding routes, schedules and transfer points.
+ Must be willing to greet every customer in a friendly, professional manner.
+ Must have or be willing to develop a working knowledge of the history and amenities Jay Peak Resort and regional points of interest in the US and Canada.
+ Must be flexible with work shifts/hours, including overtime, to service late departs and arrivals, peak volume periods, vacated shifts, and other emergency situations.
+ Must follow all Jay Peak, Inc. work rules and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook and through management's instruction.
+ Must be willing to listen to customer complaints and direct information to the Shuttle Supervisor.
+ Must provide, maintain and ensure complete customer service for the all guests and staff members utilizing the service.
+ May be asked to perform any additional duties and special tasks as assigned
+ In the absence of the Shuttle Supervisor, all drivers report to the Security Supervisor on duty.

Duties:
Pickup & Deliver units to designated locations throughout the day
Must be willing to drive for long periods of times 8-10+ hours per day
Use technology and applications daily for dispatcher communication, units assigned, and safety
Work in a safety sensitive environment with excellent communication
Requirements:
Possession of a valid driver's license that has been maintained for the past 5 years and a clean driving record (DMV record will be checked)
Must be 24 years of age
Physically able to navigate in large parking lots in addition to ascending and descending stairs
Must be able to repeatedly get in and out of vehicles with varying ride heights
Must wear safety vest at all times on company and customer property
Must be able to inspect all aspects of vehicles driven for damages/VINS, which involves bending, kneeling and stooping on occasion
Must be able to drive up to 11 hours a day and work up to 14. We adopt the federal hours of service for this position
Must pass a pre-employment drug test and subject to random testing as prescribed by the federal DOT
Compensation:
This is a COMMISSIONED position. Each car moved is assigned a flat rate, total revenue calculated at end of week and driver receives 50% of weeks revenue

Title: School Car Driver
Under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities, to ensure the safe transportation of students, staff, and others to and from school, residential neighborhoods, and field trips.
Essential Functions:
Safely drives a school car on days when school is in session over designated routes in accordance with time schedules, loading and unloading students at designated locations.
Transports students, teachers and others on school field or activity trips.
Inspects assigned car on a daily basis prior to transporting of passengers to ensure that car is in good, clean and safe working order.
Cleans and refuels car as needed.
Ensures that a communication device is in proper working order before each trip.
Reports all mechanical deficiencies, traffic violations, or accidents, promptly.
Arranges for and ensures completion of routine maintenance of car (e.g., oil change); transporting the car to and from maintenance and/or repair facilities.
Maintains order and discipline in an effective and courteous manner among students being transported in accordance with district policies and procedures; reports any incidents involving student discipline.
Observes and tracks route timing, such as total time en-route, time between stops, loading and unloading times or any other requested information for the purpose of establishing route efficiency, as requested.
Maintains and submits records and reports as required.
Follows procedures to ensure that no child is left alone in car without adult supervision at any time, and that all children have departed car at the end of all car routes (morning, evening and during field trips or other special trips).
Inventories caremergency and first aid supplies and equipment; reports needs to the Director.
Prepares aides and children for car drills and ensures car evacuation drills are held as required.
In case of accidents/emergencies, evacuates children according to written and practiced procedures, ensures that medical emergency procedures are followed; completes a written report as required.
Attends and participates in trainings, and other continuing education, career and professional development opportunities.

Performs other related tasks as assigned.
