Job Summary:
Maintains acceptable store conditions according to Company standards. Engages with customers, bags and transports groceries, locates products and conducts price verifications. Performs various customer service duties while maintaining a safe and sanitary shopping environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures groceries are bagged properly by putting like items together, limiting bag weight, preventing food cross-contamination, and ensuring customer receipt of all purchased items.
Collects shopping carts and stores them in the cart corral. Keeps parking lot free of trash and debris; communicates with management any incidents, actions, or concerns occurring on store premises.
Ensures front-end racks, drink coolers and cleaning supply stations are stocked, cleaned, and presentable.
Promotes product sales through active customer engagement.
Takes precaution when handling objects to avoid damage to products, property, etc.
Follows Company guidelines by cleaning breakroom/restroom and facing product to ensure proper store conditions.
Maintains friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, and bagging and transporting groceries into customers' vehicles.
Maintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures. Complies with all Company policies and procedures.

General Purpose:
The general purpose of the Meat Clerk is to ensure the pre-packaged meat section is fully stocked, organized, and well-presented while assisting customers with their needs. This position also involves maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the work area and performing other tasks as assigned by the department manager.
Position Responsibilities:
Product Stocking & Displays: Unload, and stock meat products, ensuring all items are displayed according to store guidelines. Build attractive and organized displays as needed.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels to ensure popular and essential products are always available. Notify the supervisor when stock is running low or if additional product needs to be ordered.
Customer Service: Assist customers by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and providing guidance on meat cuts, cooking methods, and product selection.
Work Area Maintenance: Keep the meat department clean and organized, following store hygiene and safety procedures. Regularly sanitize surfaces and equipment in the meat prep area.
Meat Prep Assistance: Assist with meat preparation tasks when needed, including cutting, trimming, or packaging products in accordance with store policies and safety standards.
Product Knowledge: Be familiar with all meat products, their locations in the store, and the features of each product to provide accurate information to customers.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations related to meat handling, storage, and sanitation. Ensure proper handling of knives and operation of meat-cutting equipment.
Other Tasks: Perform additional duties assigned by the Meat Department Supervisor or Manager, including helping with special promotions, seasonal changes in product displays, or store events.

Requirements
Experience: Previous experience in a grocery store meat department is preferred but not required. Knowledge of meat cuts & preparation techniques is helpful but not required. Strong customer service and communication skills. On-the-job training will be provided.
Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age (OSHA requirement)
Physical Requirements: Ability to work in refrigerated areas and handle meat products in compliance with store safety standards. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy boxes or products up to 50 pounds.
Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others to maintain smooth operations in the department.

Data entry of agency orders including, posting payments to agency accounts.
Respond in a timely manner to all pick-up agencies upon their arrival for order pick up.
Receive agency checks and deliver to finance for posting and deposit.
File agency order documentation and purge data quarterly.
Order validation throughout the day on agency orders.
Invoice agency orders once the orders have been posted.
Manage the incoming delivery schedule.
Track credit and grant usage on agency accounts.
Provide accurate and timely written and/or verbal reports of calls, meetings, results, and follow up to Supervisor.
Serve as backup to the Warehouse Specialist 2 position to support warehouse functions.
Serve as back up to Initiate and process pick ticket creation, jet reporting, inventory movement reports, etc.
Keep up-to-date and knowledgeable about the Arkansas Foodbank and related issues.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word and Excel.
Ability to lift/move approximately 20 pounds.
