Operating hydrovac equipment and performing hydrovac duties in a variety of working environments, including confined spaces
Driving our hydrovac trucks (10-15% of total work time)
Attending safety meetings
Performing routine inspections and minor repairs of the hydrovac equipment
Preparing work areas by setting up safety measures and addressing potential hazards
Documenting and reporting all Badger, Federal, State, and Customer paperwork accurately and efficiently
What We're Looking For:
Must have a valid Class A or B CDL
CPR/First Aid, Fall Protection and OSHA 10 certification
(preferred)
Experience driving a manual transmission (10-18 speed) without automatic restrictions
(preferred)
Ability to work variable shifts with extended hours
Must be willing to travel up to 25%
Must be able to lift, push, pull 50+ pounds and have the physical stamina for manual labor in varying weather conditions
Prior hydrovac equipment operations or related industrial experience
(preferred)
Must be at least 21 years of age

The Supv Operations is responsible for the execution of work needed to manage unit operations, including unit generation, scrubber, environmental emissions control, and material handling and some routine maintenance of the station. The Supv Operations is responsible for committing to the work plans, executing the plans and schedules, and providing oversight to the work. Safety, environmental compliance, productivity and quality are all critical responsibilities of the Supv Operations. The Supv Operationss are responsible for identifying and addressing barriers in the workplace. The Supv Operations must also effectively communicate the plans and direction of the organization. The Supv Operations is responsible for the employee development and performance management of the assigned personnel in their work group. The Supv Operations is often the senior leader on site, particularly at nights and on weekends.
Required/Basic Qualifications
Associate's degree along with minimum of 3 years related work experience
In Lieu of Degree - HS Diploma/Ged and minimum of 7 years related experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Strong computer skills including ability to use various applications
Effective communicate skills, both oral and written
Working knowledge of the overall operating fundamentals and principles of generating station systems, equipment and processes
Demonstrated effective leadership skills
Financial knowledge and skills including ability to analyze data
3 years of previous supervisor experience
5-7 years of plant operations experience
Working Conditions
Onsite Mobility Classification - Performs work in a power plant and an office environment; required to observe work in all areas of generating facilities which are power plant, industrial environments operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, which includes exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust and humidity.
May be required to climb ladders and stairs at various heights; enter vessels or equipment with limited access; walk, stoop, bend or squat.
Must be able to read, comprehend, inspect, calculate, count, retain and make sound decisions.
Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, use and reach with hands, arms and fingers.
There is potential exposure to high stress situations and requirement to be available for emergency response as required by the needs of service.

Must be able to climb in and out of the equipment, which involves several steps and ladders, may be required to shift gears manually, and work a 12 hour per day work shift both daytime and nighttime. Is subjected to all types of weather when he is outside of the vehicle and also is subject to uneven surfaces with loose materials when walking. When the equipment is not required, employee may be re-assigned to other large off road mobile equipment or may be required to perform manual laboring duties such as clean up, shoveling, etc.

* Loads and unloads gas cylinders and/or other products onto and off of route trucks and trailers moving cylinders with proper carts only.
* Sorts empty cylinders by type.
* Rolls cylinders and operates a forklift truck for the movement of cylinders on pallets.
* Understands hazards of various gases; size and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanks. Accurately labels cylinders.
* Handles high-pressure, medical and liquid cylinders. Prepares high pressure cylinders and cryogenic vessels for filling. Attaches to manifold, evacuates cylinders to eliminate all possible contaminants.
* Performs basic cylinder maintenance such as painting cylinders, labeling cylinders, and cleaning of work area.
* Inspects cylinders prior to filling, following standard procedures as required by government, Airgas, and distributor standards. Conducts a variety of Safety checks per procedures, such as odor tests, checking caps and valves. Fills cylinders by pressure and weight, per regulations and standards.
* Checks for cylinder quantities, styles and product, and/or assists with inventory
* Manages paperwork to DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards. Completes quality control sheets as required.
* Complies with all government and company standards relating to the safe handling of hazardous materials/cylinder gases.

* Performs all job assignments in a safe manner according to Airgas SOPs.
* Performs all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections on cylinders and/ or trailers.
* Scraping, labeling and painting of cylinders.
* Regularly moves cylinders by usage of a cylinder cart and/ or forklift.

The Technician operates various types of equipment within the cylinder preparation area in accordance with Airgas standard work procedures to properly empty previous contents and prepare gas cylinders. Sorts cylinders according to cylinder size and service, scrapes and paints cylinders, maintains organization in the cylinder yard, moves cylinders by forklift and handcart within the facility.
