The New Business Conflicts Clearance Analyst will support the New Business Conflicts Clearance team by conducting thorough conflicts checks, maintaining accurate records in the conflicts database, and ensuring the seamless operation of the conflicts resolution process. Reviews and analyzes conflicts reports to identify any potential conflicts of interest issues which require resolution. Collaborates with other members of the New Business Conflict Clearance team, Conflicts Attorneys, and Office of the General Counsel to resolve potential ethical conflicts and facilitate the new matter opening process. Communicates effectively with attorneys and staff to gather necessary information for conflicts checks, conflicts review and clarify any discrepancies in the iManage request form. Validates the requirements for each conflict check with the requesting lawyer or secretary to ensure compliance with firm policies and legal standards. Conducts corporate research using both internal and external resources to verify the accuracy of information and understand corporate relationships and structures. Coordinates with the Client Accounting Department and other relevant departments to ensure the integrity and consistency of database information. Provides coverage for department functions, including after-hours and weekend support as needed, ensuring continuous operation of conflicts resolution processes. Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others. Manages Firm resources responsibly. Complies with and understands Firm operation, policies, and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g. Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems Familiarity with conflicts database software, preferably iManage, and a general understanding of the conflicts resolution process in a legal or professional services context.
