Works on multiple and complex technical assignments that require expertise in resource management, risk management, and project management. Achieves objectives through influence and negotiation in cross-functional matrix organization.
Research, prepare, and process Contract Award Recommendations (CARs) and Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) to provide new, expansion, or replacement equipment.
Collect, analyze, and submit capital cost and schedule inputs in the ERP system. Develop and implement LOA planning process for all major equipment and fixed plant assets. This includes working with the business units, corporate, and research and development to establish the business case for recommended equipment procurements and new capability deployments.
Competitive bidding preparation to include technical scope of work.
Commercial evaluation of proposals, including value analysis, TCO (total cost of ownership) and business case analysis
Documentation Control / Commercial Contract Management
Develop project plans specifying charter, scope, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, training, and provisioning for each phase of capital projects.
Manage capital project schedule and cost. Execute the approved capital plan and provide monthly capital and expense forecasts to management.
Enable operational excellence in capital project execution through the development and implementation of best practices, training and coordination of capital procurement activities.
Responsible for strategic management and oversight of distributor pricing negotiations for OEM and non OEM supply contracts.
Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and exploit emerging opportunities that benefit the organization.
Works to minimize spare inventory levels to maximize cash flow, working capital and storage capabilities while ensuring adequate inventory to support business needs.
Develop a negotiation strategy that delivers against business objectives and achieves sustainable relationships with suppliers.
Develop and implement standardized maintenance processes and procedures across the plant facilities.
Manage the full life cycle of fixed assets and make recommendations for replacement.
Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and R&D functions
Minimum 4 year degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline
A minimum of 5-7 years progressive experience in related roles is preferred.
Must have good communication skills; written and verbal
