CEOBio
Michael Silvestro (Mike)
Flexjet

Michael Silvestro recently became the longest-tenured CEO in the fractional private jet industry after having assumed his current role just before the financial crisis of 2008. While attending Notre Dame, he was one of two non-scholarship football players in his freshman class to make the team which later won the Cotton Bowl. After Notre Dame, Silvestro spent two decades inventing products and founding companies in the footwear and sporting goods industries. Looking for a new challenge, he joined fractional jet company, Flight Options, founded by his Notre Dame roommate Kenn Ricci, and oversaw sales. He turned sales around after the dot-com crash, building the company into the industry’s second-ranked player and leaving only after Ricci sold the company to Raytheon. When Ricci reacquired Flight Options in 2008, he returned to the company, this time as CEO. In 2013, Ricci acquired fractional pioneer Flexjet from Bombardier and Silvestro became CEO of Flexjet as well. He is deeply involved in youth and children’s charities and he and his wife, Mary Lynn, adopted two orphaned Rwandan children in addition to raising their own sons.

Mitch Luciano
Trailer Bridge

Results-driven logistics leader, serial entrepreneur, Ultimate CEO Award winner and company culture advocate, who lives by one word - care. As President and CEO of Trailer Bridge - one of Inc. Magazine’s 2020 Best Workplaces in America - I spend every day helping innovate across the supply chain. For employees, this means an open door policy and helping over 200 people grow and develop in their careers. For customers, it means doing whatever it takes to make sure their freight is covered and delivered, safely and on-time. It’s this level of exceptional service that has earned Trailer Bridge accolades by Logistics Management Magazine as #1 Ocean Carrier, Fast 50 in the Business Journal, inclusion in the book \'Love Is Just Damn Good Business\' by best-selling business author, Steve Farber, and has also led to the development of the company’s tagline, “We Make It Happen”. My passion is seeing people succeed. That takes creating environments where people can innovate, build connections, develop intellectually, transform company culture, and ultimately help businesses thrive. I also believe that people who care and are passionate about the work that they do for themselves and for others are more loyal, inventive, creative, and inspired, and that translates to great customer experience. Good challenges and continued change keeps me motivated, like co-founding Quantum Edge Technology, Magellan Transport Logistics, and 4 Elements Logistics, along with turning Trailer Bridge around and into a profitable business, and sitting on the Board of Directors for CG Railway. At home, it’s my wife and five children who keep me on my toes, when I’m not making my secret marinara sauce for family and friends.
