The Inventory Control Specialist will maintain warehouse inventory levels, coordinate material delivery, provide/prepare materials for production, manage waste/recycling, and handle other miscellaneous material handling tasks. This position will be covering an employee on leave, once the employee returns, for the right individual, we anticipate the individual will be needed in other or similar areas and able to transfer to a permanent position.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Ensures adequate inventory of materials and customer products in accord with inventory cycles and to CPI planning.
Conducts inventory analysis to solve inventory issues.
Develops and implements inventory control procedures.
Coordinates and manages daily physical cycle counts.
Coordinates the flow of materials from one site to another through the inputs from Planning and Scheduling.
Configures warehouse spaces as dictated by forecast of inbound materials, customer and production needs.
Implement and maintain the Monarch ERP system within the warehouse to track inventory level and flow between sites.
Assist with training new employees in position.
Prepares and provides production with inventory and materials necessary to complete jobs per Planning and Scheduling.
Follows all mandated security procedures and process requirements.
Manages the waste and recycling program implemented though CPI.
Operates dock truck, hand jacks, powered jacks, forklifts, and other powered industrial trucks.
Assists with other miscellaneous material handling/inventory tasks and/or projects (i.e. setting up racking).
Must be required to take on additional tasks and projects as determined by the Warehouse Supervisor
Qualifications
Requirements:
1-3 years' experience with inventory and/or warehouse technology systems.
Prefer someone who is also interested working with machines or with manufacturing background
The candidate must have basic skills required to operate technical machinery. They must be able to use a caliper and other hand tools.
The candidate must be able to interface with a PC by inputting and out putting data and loading and unloading programs. Keyboard input skills are necessary.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions (written and verbal). Ability to write simple report. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Elementary English proficiency communication skills necessary.
Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
High school diploma or equivalent
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license, clean driving record and have the ability to become DOT certified.
Physical Demands:
Operates, dock truck, hand jacks, powered jacks, forklifts, and other powered industrial trucks in a safe manner.
Work is conducted in a standing position and requires repetitive walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, stooping and lifting of materials up to 60 lbs.
Environment is noisy and may require ear protection.
