Beyond maintenance duties, the technician is responsible for diagnosing and fixing any problems that may occur with production and facility equipment. This requires a solid understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems, including motors, drives, pumps, and control devices. Additionally, the technician will support the installation of new machinery and the relocation of existing equipment. Their role also includes performing maintenance and repairs related to carpentry, painting, building upkeep, and other facility tasks as necessary. Expertise in operating welding equipment, drill presses, grinders, hand tools, and various metalworking machines is crucial. The technician will utilize a computerized maintenance management system to optimize operations. You should have at least 3 years plus of experience in mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, and basic electrical repair. Experience in manufacturing is a plus. You need strong skills in analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. You must be able to read and understand documents and drawings. Familiarity with basic office software is important, and you should be able to learn maintenance software for data entry and parts research. Elementary English proficiency communication skills necessary. You should be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills are essential. You must be able to lift 40 lbs. A valid driver's license is required.
