Unless you went to Texas A&M/A&I Kingsville, or were friends with them, you were not going to move up in the company.

What do you like best about CPS Energy's CEO and the leadership team?

Nothing. Wanted to downsize, and contract most of the business units out.

How would you improve CPS Energy's culture?

Keep most work internal. Contractors should only be used to pick up extra work.

Pros of working at CPS Energy

Stable environment. Low stress. Good work/life balance.

Cons of working at CPS Energy

No issues with the company. My particular position was ruined when it converted to FTE. A position that typically reports to the CIO was moved to report to a level one manager and isolated from all strategic activity necessary for the role.

CPS Energy benefits

Flex hours, occasional breakfast tacos and snacks.
