How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a welder, you will work as a team to meet on time delivery and exceed customer satisfaction. You will complete a variety of tasks with the overall goal of creating functional metal components primarily by performing MIG tack welding operations. Cincinnati Fan is expanding our weld team and has multiple openings on day shift, 6am-230pm Monday - Friday, and 2nd shift, 230pm - 1am Monday - Thursday. We are looking for individuals that want to be part of a team and have experience in production welding. Pay based on experience and weld test.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

Safety
* Follow all safety rules and adhere to core value of business
* Maintain general work areas and/or equipment used in a clean and orderly condition
* Ensure proper and effective operation of machine and tools throughout entire process. Report repairs and/or issues to team lead or supervisor
Quality
* Confirm material, sizes, and parts match work order/job tickets
* Ensure all parts and surfaces are free from defects
* Able to self-monitor quality of own work, and report to lead or supervisor unusual, defective, or operating difficulties
* Complete all tasks and work within designed quality guidelines
* Accurately document work performed using company required documents and procedures
Delivery
* Ability to weld to specifications, and out of position, on mild steel and stainless steel including vertical up
* Read blueprints, schematics, work orders and/or assembly sketches
* Coordinate staging and sequencing of parts, productions items, and product components
* Prepare both metals and work surfaces for the production process
* Select appropriate tools, materials, gas ratios, and build fixturing/shipping brackets as needed
* Transfer completed product to next workstation/process using cranes and forklift as needed
* Perform light maintenance on equipment, machines, and other devices used in the normal course of work performed
* Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)
We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:
Required Experience
* 1 year MIG welding in production/manufacturing environment
* Mechanical aptitude
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Basic math skills
* Strong attention to detail and quality, working within precise limits and/or standards of accuracy
* Forklift certification
* Overhead crane operation
* Self-driven, able to work independently, and as a team
* Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Education & Certifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
