  • Brand Creative Lead

    Terrafirma Robotics

Creative director job in Austin, TX

At TerraFirma, we're redefining how the world moves earth for construction. Founded by former SpaceX engineers and backed by Bain Capital Ventures, TerraFirma is automating construction to make it faster, cheaper, and safer. Our Story & Mission At SpaceX, we were part of the teams that built the largest rocket in human history, launched the largest constellation of satellites ever made, and delivered connectivity to millions of people worldwide. What we learned was simple: infrastructure is everything. At Starbase, the biggest barrier to launching missions to Mars was not building the rocket. It was how slow, expensive, and complex it was to build the infrastructure around it. We lacked buildings, roads, water, power, communications, and waste management, and constructing them took far more time and resources than it should have. From a first-principles perspective, that doesn't make sense. It shouldn't be this hard or costly to create the foundations for progress. That's when we realized something important: the same engineering mindset that enabled us to tackle space exploration and mass manufacturing could be applied to infrastructure. By bringing the principles of simplification, iteration, acceleration, and automation to construction, we can unlock a new era in how the world builds. Accelerating infrastructure unlocks progress across every domain, creating a self-sustaining engine for tackling humanity's toughest challenges. The innovations we develop on Earth will lay the groundwork for the technologies that one day make settlement on Mars possible. Job Overview We are looking for a creative lead to document and share our mission. You will put TerraFirma on the screen, capturing the moments where software touches steel, autonomy meets dust, and robotics changes what is possible on a jobsite. This is a hands-on role blending director of photography, lead editor, and storyteller. You will work directly with the founders and engineering team to translate complex robotics, construction sites, and dirt into high-signal, cinematic content. Your job is to capture and ship proof of what we are building, depicting our retrofitted heavy machinery with a premium, product-first visual treatment and shipping content that pulls top-tier talent and partners into our orbit. Responsibilities Own our brand development and narrative. Work with branding partners where necessary Spend time in the field and on the shop floor shooting high-fidelity video and quality images of our robots in action. Find the beauty in the dirt and the drama in the code Own the entire post-production pipeline. Color-grade footage to look cinematic Collaborate with our engineering team to translate their technical work into content that explains the hard problems we are solving to attract the world's best talent Manage our presence online, treating every post like a product drop. Monitor the cultural conversation and insert TerraFirma into the narrative with high-signal updates Oversee the production and maintenance of all brand, video and visual assets Manage merchandise, HQ visual assets, brand "goodies," and visual campaigns Basic Qualifications and Skills 2+ years of experience in brand management, video/visual production, editing, and/or creative direction A portfolio that proves you have a distinct aesthetic fitting hardware, robotics, construction, etc. Proficiency in video editing software and design tools like Figma Comfortable in technical environment, motion graphics and VFX. Not afraid of vibe coding and leveraging AI tools for better brand positioning Ability to work with drones for aerial visual recording Experience filming hardware, machinery, or industrial environments A strong personal brand or evidence of building a community online Understanding of "ProRes Log" workflows and cinematic color grading Additional Requirements Portfolios with only PDF case studies will be ignored. Please include brands, websites, reels, campaigns, etc. you have built Must be willing to work extended hours or weekends when needed to support critical deadlines or triage urgent deployment issues Ability to work in a fast-paced, scrappy startup environment where "perfect" is the enemy of "shipped" Must be willing to relocate to Austin, TX, if not within commuting distance Compensation & Benefits Base compensation will vary based on factors such as relevant experience and education. Salaries and leveling will be determined on a case-by-case basis if an offer is extended. Our total compensation package also includes equity in TerraFirma. Relocation packages are available to help cover moving costs, if applicable.

  • Brand Creative Lead

    Terrafirma Robotics

Creative director job in Austin, TX

Job Description At TerraFirma, we're redefining how the world moves earth for construction.
