Summary:
We are seeking a Mid or Senior Support Engineer to join our team in a critical platform operations role. This position requires a balance of hands-on break/fix responsibilities (60%) and strategic project-based work (40%). This role is hybrid with on-call support one week per month and no travel requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or a similar role. Strong expertise in Linux systems administration, including proficiency in shell scripting and Linux-based tools.
Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms, including computer, storage, networking, and security services.
In-depth knowledge of containerization platforms, especially Kubernetes/OpenShift, including deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
Solid experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools for building and deploying applications.
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or similar tools for managing cloud resources and infrastructure.
Deep understanding of databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Argo) and best practices.
Strong background in DNS, networking fundamentals, and platform security.
