ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY


PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Creative Services Coordinator provides support with graphic design, photography, and other creative projects. This includes the design of event materials, web images, social media graphics, email images, signage, and other collateral. This role also supports the Marketing & Communications team with the creation and organization of new assets (photos, icons, and other digital assets).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design, or related field

Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles
  • Knowledge of typography and the print production process
  • Proven portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities
  • Ability to work within a team environment and independently
  • Computer fluency in Mac environment preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Pro

Experience:

  • Two years of professional experience in a creative design setting

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in all design and photography needs and contribute to the Creative Services team in developing graphics and assets in support of the NTFB brand
  • Collaborate with internal teams to conceptualize visuals based on project requirements
  • Serve as an in-house graphic designer and ensure designs are within NTFB brand standards; perform retouching and manipulation of images
  • Illustrate concepts via artwork, size, type size and style and submitting them for approval
  • Present project ideas and implement feedback to help elevate the NTFB brand and complete project goals
  • Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule
  • Work with outside vendors, negotiate pricing and manage print production process
  • Serve as in-house photographer and manage photo library; experience the mission in action through photography projects
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
  • Create and organize digital assets to maintain current resource library for Marketing and Communications and other internal and external teams
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with open floor plan with computers, phone, printers, light traffic).
  • Ability to work outside the traditional 40-hour workweek, special events and weekends
