I currently serve as Chief Scientific Officer for Creative Testing Solutions (CTS). Creative Testing Solutions is the largest blood and plasma donor screening laboratory system in the world. The CTS network consists of eight FDA regulated laboratories which are geographically distributed throughout the US (Austin, Charlotte, Dallas, Memphis, Phoenix, San Marcos, St. Louis, and Tampa). CTS currently performs infectious disease screening for approximately 75% of the US blood supply on an annual basis.

As CTS’ Chief Scientific Officer, I am responsible for the quality monitoring of our donor testing laboratories, the oversight of our Medical Directors and CLIA licenses, review of procedures, validations, and clinical programs, all research activities, and the operations of all CTS Specialty laboratories. CTS' testing volume also provides a unique ability to continually monitor a diverse data set generated from donor specimens which are grossly representative of the US population. This allows an unprecedented opportunity to study the epidemiology, genetics and associated clinical manifestations of emerging infectious disease, while also providing the distinct ability to improve blood product safety and to rapidly respond to emerging infectious disease threats in the US.

I have a strong background in molecular biology with an emphasis in microbial genetics and specific expertise in the development of rapid nucleic acid and immunologic diagnostic systems, as well as methods and tools for the rapid assessment of disease outbreaks.

She brings more than 20 years of diverse financial leadership experience, most recently in an executive leadership role with a large Phoenix nonprofit.
