The Role
We're looking for a Credit Analyst to support deal packaging and lender outreach within our Credit & Lending department. This is an entry-level analyst role for someone with strong financial modeling skills who wants to develop expertise in commercial real estate lending.
You'll build financial models, prepare lender presentations, analyze tenant credit, and support the team in assembling bank-ready loan submissions. This role reports to the Lending Manager and offers clear advancement opportunities as you develop expertise.
What You'll Do
• Build Financial Models: Prepare NOI calculations, DSCR analysis, and cash-on-cash return projections. Create models that support lender submissions and investor presentations.
• Prepare Investor Personal Financial Statement: Assemble Investors Personal Financial Statement and asses their financial strength to ensure they meet lender and deal-specific qualification requirements for the property they plan to purchase.
• Prepare Lender Presentations: Create compelling financial presentation materials highlighting both the project and borrower/investor. Ensure presentations are accurate and bank-ready.
• Analyze Tenant Credit: Research tenant financials, evaluate credit strength, and summarize findings for lender packages. Understand how tenant credit impacts financing.
• Support Lease Analysis: Review lease abstracts, identify key terms relevant to underwriting, and flag issues that could impact loan approval.
• Maintain Deal Data: Track lender preferences, submission requirements, and deal metrics. Contribute to improving lender targeting based on historical performance.
Who You Are
• 2-4 years in financial analysis, credit analysis, or commercial real estate, with strong Excel/financial modeling skills. Internship experience in CRE lending, investment banking, or private equity is a plus.
• Strong analytical foundation-you understand financial statements, can calculate key CRE metrics (NOI, DSCR, cap rates), and are comfortable building models from scratch.
• Commercial real estate exposure-familiarity with NNN investments, lease structures, or commercial lending. Understanding of how banks evaluate CRE loans is a plus.
• Detail-oriented-you catch errors before they become problems. Accuracy in financial work is non-negotiable.
• Strong communication skills-able to present financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The Sr Credit Analyst/Underwriter engages with Analyst I or II, as appropriate, to assist in the analysis of the credits or relationships and as directed by their manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Generate financial spreads, or oversee and review spreads prepared by Analyst I or II within the bank lending operating system (nCino) using financial statements to find and review trends. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.

Qualifications
MINIMUM
Bachelor degree in Accounting preferred; two (2) or more years of accounts receivable experience required.
Experience in account reconciliation, recording journal entries, Ability to work within deadlines
Intermediate to advance knowledge of major accounting software packages. Infinium and Lawson ERP system knowledge preferred
Intermediate to expert skills with Microsoft Excel
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing.
Comprehend and use technical or professional language, either written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
