    This position will primarily support the commercial lending function by analyzing financial information and preparing loan presentations to be reviewed for loan approvals. Other duties include tracking the timely receipt of financial data and assisting with the Bank's various regulatory examinations and loan review experiences. This position works very closely with the entire commercial lending staff and on occasion other departments as well. Job Duties & Responsibilities: include the following, other duties may be assigned. Develops credits, in the form of a loan write up, for use by lending officers or committees in the making of lending decisions on new, renewal, and extension loans. Spreads financial statements. Reviews all pertinent credit and financial information, including reporting services, credit bureaus, other companies, main office files, and branches, and determines the need for more thorough investigation or additional information. Watches for any developing problems and keeps loan officers informed. Performs analysis for presentations, including the use of stress testing, financial covenants, UCA cash flow and more detailed analysis. Prepares and maintains control of workflow and all commercial presentations, including final approvals. Miscellaneous reports and investigations: preparing board reports, floor plan audits, problem resolution. Follow federal regulations and related internal procedures.     Job DescriptionDescription: Credit Analyst Status: Exempt - Grade Level 5 Equal Employment Opportunity Corporate Values & Mission “Provide superior service, quality advice and show our utmost respect to everyone we meet.” General Summary Performs a variety of commercial loan support services, including numerous duties which facilitate and safeguard the lending function. Reports To: Credit Analyst Team Lead Essential Duties and Responsibilities Use critical thinking to conduct thorough risk analysis of applications for commercial credit. Construct financial statement spreads and understand and interpret key ratios. Complete thorough real estate evaluations on various property types. Responsible for calculating risk scorecard and recommending risk ratings. Collect credit information for preparation of commercial loan package. Provide an analyzed, researched, and documented package for review by supervisor, officers, committee, or Board as appropriate. Maintain complete and orderly credit files on loan customers and obtains credit information on borrowers. Maintain various loan/departmental reports. Contact clients as necessary. Assist loan officers as requested. Working knowledge of and compliance with policies and procedures of the Bank. Additional responsibilities as assigned. Be familiar with and comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act as they relate to the functions of this position. Complete all required reports related to those acts and reports any observed violations or potential violations of those acts to a supervisor or other appropriate bank officer. Be familiar with and comply with all federal and state banking regulations as applicable. Requirements: Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an Individual in this position must be able to perform each of the above essential duties satisfactorily and exhibit the values of the Company. In addition, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Experience and/or Education Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or other related field preferred. Minimum of one (1) year Credit experience required Minimum of one (1) year commercial loan experience preferred (SBA, FSA, participation, and construction knowledge helpful). Makes timely decisions. Project Management - Develops project plans; coordinates projects; communicates changes and progress; completes projects on time ad budget; manages project team activities. Initiative - Undertakes self-development activities; takes independent actions and calculated risks; looks for and takes advantage of opportunities; asks for and offers help when needed.
