The Role:
As a Credit Manager II at QXO, you'll play a key role in driving profitable growth-balancing credit risk and customer relationships while managing accounts and supporting sales success.
What you'll do:
Drive profitable sales growth by managing customer credit accounts, extending credit within established guidelines, and ensuring timely collection of receivables.
Monitor account activity to identify credit risks, assess payment performance, and recommend credit limit adjustments or escalations as needed.
Communicate directly with customers to resolve disputes, negotiate payment arrangements, and reduce delinquent balances while maintaining strong business relationships.

Perform duties in a hybrid environment, working both remotely and on-site at local branches as needed.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred
5+ years of credit and collections experience

Complete final disposition on credit applications or escalate to the appropriate level of authority for final approval.
Make outbound calls and manage inbound calls to negotiate final contract terms with both dealer customers and the DRM.
Assist with escalated calls from dealers and DRMs who are dissatisfied with a credit decision. Re-evaluate decisions and manage them professionally to maintain positive relationships.
Participate in targeted outbound call campaigns as time permits, in coordination with the DRMs, to cultivate long-term dealer relationships.
Work directly with the Funding department and DRMs to resolve credit and verification issues that arise during funding.
Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior associates within the department.
Maintain confidentiality of personal information for consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth.

We are one of the few furniture stores that provide credit directly to our customers to help them furnish their homes.
We are seeking a Bilingual Credit Specialist to support our Credit Department by assisting with underwriting customer applications, collecting and verifying required documentation, and preparing complete credit packets for approval. This role also works directly with third-party finance companies to help customers receive the maximum possible approval.
Responsibilities
Assist with underwriting and reviewing credit applications
Collect, verify, and organize customer documentation
Prepare and submit complete credit packets for approval
Communicate with customers in English and Spanish
Work with third-party finance companies to manage approvals
Maintain accurate records and protect confidential information
Requirements
Bilingual (English/Spanish) - required
Experience in credit, underwriting, loan processing, or finance preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, in-person environment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Portfolio Managers with transaction setups, spreading financial statements, credit analysis, preparing projections and sensitivity analysis, completing risk ratings and credit approval documentation.
Perform annual customer evaluations and review quarterly covenant compliance, documenting the analysis and communicating any issues timely.
Communicate customer trends and troublesome loans to the portfolio management team leader, senior credit officer and commercial line manager on a timely basis.
Underwrite enterprise value and real estate related credit requests within established policy, guidelines, and turnaround times.
Support periodic audits and responsible credit behavior by documenting decisions properly and completely, in adherence to policy, with particular diligence given to explaining overrides, variances, and credit decisions and ensure proper document storage.
Review commitment letters, loan documentation, past dues (particularly maturing and renewing credits).
Provide a high level of internal and external customer service including communication of credit decisions, account issues, and answering questions.
Work with the loan administration and client specialists to manage loan maintenance including delinquencies and monitoring of loans.
Ensure the systems of record are accurate for the loans being administered and management information is reported timely and accurately.

Job Duties
Customer Collection Activities - Maintain regular communication with customers to assure that assigned accounts are kept in current status and payment is forthcoming. Provide customer service and maintain appropriate documentation of collection procedures performed to reference for future communications. Follow up in a timely manner on past due invoices. Proactively confirm approval of all larger invoices with key customers. Enlist the efforts of Branch Management, General Managers, and Directors to accelerate the collection process.
Credit Review - Monitor credit status on all assigned accounts. Coordinate and work with Regional Credit Specialist on resolution. Assist Collection Specialist Regional with research and resolve of past due accounts. Research customers through Dunn & Bradstreet, Company history, and other internet sources to determine risk. Follow up with customers on delinquent accounts to determine approval of orders
Report Preparation and Review - Review portfolio using Accounts Receivable (AR) Metrics & Detail Reports. Prepare and review portfolio and aging reports with Branch Management team and customers on monthly basis. Review portfolio with Supervisor on monthly basis.
Miscellaneous - Monitor credit status on all assigned accounts. Research and reconcile account history as needed. Process electronic payments as requested. Perform accounting adjustments as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Less than 2 years related experience
Associate degree (Accounting)
Non-degree considered if 6+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
Per 8-hour shift. Sit 8 hours and stand 0 hours. Typical office environment (low noise level, limited exposure hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, and vibrations). Regular interaction with others and performs a degree of independent work. Physical and mental demands are akin to the majority of office positions with prolonged periods of sitting and prolonged use of a computer/keyboard. Infrequent lifting, walking and climbing stairs. Occasional use of office equipment (copiers, printers, etc.).
