PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABLILIES: (90%)
Responsible for conducting credit investigations and analysis of loan data on new and existing commercial and agricultural loans as assigned.
Preparation of financial statements and projections, spreadsheets, peer analysis, and reports including written analysis of the overall credit for the officer, senior lending group and/or loan committee per bank policies and guidelines.
Assist in the completion and tracking of borrowing bases, action plans, risk ratings, watch list and collateral evaluations as required.
Work with lenders in completing sufficient loan interviews, annual loan reviews and inspections to develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of the overall lending relationship and culture.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of the Bank's lending policies and procedures and identification of deviations from the policy.
Maintain knowledge and compliance with all banking laws and regulations related to the lending function, including required training to complete all specific job duties.
Keep abreast of current economic conditions and trends that affect the loan portfolio and banking industry.
Maintains the asset quality of the loan portfolio.
Provide general support and/or assistance to the lending staff as needed.

Represents Bank in industry and professional associations, community organizations, local business groups, etc., and promotes Bank's favorable image.
Remains knowledgeable and abreast of guaranteed government loan programs and other conventional financing mechanisms as vehicle for customers.

Assist IT with their vendor management by reviewing financials of vendors to ensure there are no concerns with their ability to continue operations.

Spreading Financials and Underwriting
Accurately enter customer and guarantor financial data into software programs to generate financial spreads, supporting the underwriting of bank documents, applications, and requests in accordance with regulatory requirements and bank policies.

SUMMARY

What will you do:
Accountabilities
Spreading Financials and Underwriting
Accurately enter customer and guarantor financial data into software programs to generate financial spreads, supporting the underwriting of bank documents, applications, and requests in accordance with regulatory requirements and bank policies.
Utilize multiple bank software programs to complete financials spreads on loan customers.
Analyze the creditworthiness of prospective and current customers by preparing written reports of findings of assigned loans. This includes in-depth analysis of historical financial statements, projected cash flow, ratio analysis, general industry analysis and identified risks.
Independently evaluate more complex loan requests with regards to the Bank's underwriting standards and regulatory requirements.
Complete additional underwriting tasks such Farmer Mac or FSA as needed to ensure all requirements have been met.
Loan Monitoring and Review
Monitor loans to assess the risk of a loan once the loan is booked.
Conduct collateral inspections with lenders on an as needed basis.
Complete borrowing base tracking spreadsheets.
Perform covenant monitoring to ensure covenants are in compliance.
Research and compare internal portfolio metrics to industry standards while analyzing broad agricultural trends and potential impacts to credit quality.
Partner with Others
Partner with others to ensure team goals are met.
Provide mentoring and guidance to other analysts, business banking trainees, and interns as they work on spreading financial information and underwriting loan requests.
Assist the Real Estate Specialist with various duties.
Assist with special projects as assigned such as economic reports, guideline reviews, segmentation reports or loan coding.
Qualifications
Secondary education in related field preferred. Three or more years of relevant work experience or a combination of education/experience that would enable incumbent to meet accountabilities and required competencies of the position. Experience with banking or credit analysis preferred.

SUMMARY

Primary Duties:
Responsible for reviewing Agriculture or Commercial Submission Request forms submitted to the CreditAnalyst Inbox for accuracy and completeness. SCAs will return submission forms to the Lending Personnel as needed to ensure flow of credits being work continues without delays.
Review and Assessment of Loan Presentations over $1 million and Loan Presentations required for Loan Committee as completed by CreditAnalysts to ensure written documentation is in required format, provides all necessary information, accurate and clearly communicates analysis outcomes. SCAs will work with analysts to get presentations updated accordingly and will forward loan presentations to appropriate staff for approval.
SCAs will handle the process of getting signatures for LC packages, submitting to Executive Assistants, reviewing agendas, and locking the credits in Moody's once Approved by Loan Committee. This needs to be completed each week within the timelines as required by Management.
Maintain records regarding logging of analyst errors, lending submission errors, activity of credits and any other information required.
Responsible for updating and maintaining records for Financial Reviews and Global Cashflows that are required to be completed annually. These records will be provided to the CreditAnalyst Manager as needed.
Provide leadership to the Credit Analysis Department and Lending Personnel. Assist with the development of CreditAnalysts and Lending Personnel by providing guidance, training, problem solving, and review of information as needed. This may include training as assigned and specifically the training of new creditanalysts.
All duty requirements of the CreditAnalyst III duties. SCAs will act as back up as needed to support the CreditAnalysts or when the flow of credits is high, and assistance is needed.
Secondary Duties:
Work as a team with departmental counterparts on planning and implementing assigned projects and products.
