The Credit Monitoring Analyst III supports the commercial credit monitoring and portfolio management for the Bank through the review and analysis of borrower and guarantor financial information, testing of financial covenants, and post-closing loan review to ensure alignment between loan approval, documentation, and tracking system.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of Credit Monitoring and industry best practices.
* Review financial spreads, financial indicator covenants, borrowing base reviews, post-closing reviews and other assigned job functions, for accuracy and completeness.
* Provide input and recommendations on new and existing workflow processes, policies, and procedures involving the Credit Monitoring Team.
* Work independently the majority of the time and complete work with little supervision.
* Serve as Credit Monitoring subject matter expert and on the Bank's financial tracking system (nCino) to include any upgrades, training, or new resources.
* Provide accurate and consistent loan portfolio management and monitoring of our commercial loan portfolio.
* Make independent recommendations regarding credit risk supported by comprehensive ongoing risk analysis.
* Analyze Borrowing Base Certificates, accounts receivable aging, inventory listings, liquidity, and collateral positions.
* Review financial reporting to ensure accuracy and maintain internal tracking for all commercial clients.
* Mentorship of less experienced Credit Monitoring Analysts.
* Comply with all credit administration policies and procedures.
* Prepare ad hoc reports as requested.
* Complete Moody's Credit Modules, as assigned.
* Maintain the highest level of confidentiality of all information.
* Provide extraordinary service while complying with all Bank policies and procedures.

Knowledge of:

Compensation and Benefits

Job Overview:
Analyze the financial condition of automobile and/or bodybuilder dealerships and affiliated companies of the dealership entities for the purpose of extending new lines of credit or continuing existing lines of credit. Analysis is accompanied by a recommendation to the appropriate level of credit authority.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare, analyze and submit new credit requests, as well as file reviews, to the Dealer Credit Manager providing sound and reasoned explanations. (25%)
* Perform monthly reviews of dealership financial statements and make sound and reasoned recommendations to the Dealer Credit Manager based on guidelines established by Mercedes Benz and previous experience with the dealership. (25%)
* Make recommendations regarding subordination, guarantees, state legal requirements, UCC's and other forms or agreements which protect the interests of Mercedes Benz Financial Services. (10%)
* Prepare and maintain dealer document files in accordance with established procedure. (10%)
* Provide daily service to DRM's/RFM's, Region Managers, dealer personnel, and management regarding credit files, system issues, approvals/contingencies, documentation and financial statements. (10%)
* Review wholesale inventory and book audits and make recommendations to the Dealer Credit Manager on audit issues and exceptions. (10%)
* Communicate with Dealer personnel during all stages of the credit request and maintenance process including monthly financial statement reviews (10%)

Under general supervision, but according to established policies and procedures, work closely with commercial loan officers in putting together loan packages for consideration by the board of directors. Accompany loan officers calling on customers when requested; develop and analyze all types of credit information pertaining to diversified types of commercial loans; prepare credit reports for loan officers or committees; maintain control over credit requirements of current accounts; furnish information relative to credit inquiries; and provide any other assistance to loan officers as requested.
Essential Functions:
Develop credit information for use by lending officers or committees in making lending decisions on new, renewal and extension loans:
Review all pertinent credit and financial information, including reporting services, credit bureaus, savings and loan associations or banks, and bank files.
Determine the need for more thorough investigation or additional information, and contact appropriate sources for such information.
Prepare all spreadsheet and financial information.
Analyze financial statements and related material.
Prepare summary, present facts, and offer opinions concerning creditworthiness to loan officers or committees.
Ensure that financial statements for loans are monitored where it is required by policy. Maintain current financial information (less than one year old) in loan file. Mail request letters and conduct phone calls if necessary.
Note and document trends in borrower's financial statements.
Review current grade of credit and recommend grade change to Credit Administration Manager if warranted.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Marginal Functions:
Prepare various reports for inclusion in the board packets as requested by the Credit Administration Manager.
Prepare statistical lending reports as requested by the Credit Administration Manager.
Work with Loan Officers in preparing quarterly Criticized Loan Action Plans.

The Credit Monitoring Analyst II supports the commercial credit monitoring and portfolio management for the Bank through the review and analysis of borrower and guarantor financial information, testing of financial covenants, and post-closing loan review to ensure alignment between loan approval, documentation, and tracking system.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Accurately calculate financial ratios and monitor Borrower's covenants for compliance as outlined in loan documents.
* Effectively communicate all internal communication of the borrower's performance and trend analysis to the appropriate parties.
* Completes post booking reviews on commercial loans to ensure accuracy of loan documents as outlined in the credit approval and ensure internal tracking of covenants are accurately built for internal tracking purposes.
* Analyze and assess financial statements and credit history of existing and potential clients.
* Provide additional support to Credit Administration as it relates to special projects as assigned.
* Comply with all credit administration policies and procedures.
* Prepare ad hoc reports as requested.
