This part-time position averages 20-25 hours per week. Candidates must be available full-time during the first five weeks to complete required training POSITION SUMMARY Enhances the quality of life for our members by embracing the organization's mission and core values. This frontline, member-facing position will provide an industry leading member service experience. Provides consultative conversations and sound financial advice for our members through the development and expansion of new and existing relationships. This universal sales position supports teller operations, new accounts, account maintenance and consumer loan applications and funding. All duties will primarily be performed at the individuals home branch. However, they must also be prepared to provide onsite support to other branch locations as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES • Teller Activities - Efficiently and accurately processes transactions in a friendly manner. Observe context and conversational cues and clues to identify product and service solutions to needs that are presented or emerging. Maintains proper security controls and uses sound judgment to place check holds. Asks questions and maintains knowledge regarding elder abuse and other scams to prevent frontline financial fraud. Responsible for individual cash drawer balancing and assisting with daily branch balancing activities. Encourages members to adopt digital services. • New Account and Member Maintenance - Opens, maintains and closes a wide variety of membership accounts including but not limited to savings, checking, certificate, and retirement accounts. Provides proactive and timely follow up. Assists members with a wide range of services such as online banking, direct deposit, automatic transfers, and account maintenance. Assists members through digital channels such as phone, and email, ensuring professional communication through all channels. Establishes member relationships by ensuring responsiveness and regular follow up and encourages member adoption of digital services. • Sales and Service - Consistently demonstrates behaviors that reflect the mission, core values and service standards of the Credit Union. Meets or exceeds sales and production objectives by handling member requests, identifying needs and making recommendations. Responsible for application processing and funding of consumer loans including personal, credit cards, and auto. Solicits a variety of peace-of-mind ancillary products associated with loans. Accurately completes loan and title documents. Participates in outbound calling campaigns as needed. • Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: A high school diploma or G.E.D. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 0-1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a financial institution. Ability to work shifts between the hours of Monday - Saturday 8am to 6pm. Bilingual preferred. Responsible for initiating and following for refunds on loans with cancellable ancillary products such as mechanical breakdown coverage, GAP, Credit Life and Disability etc. Makes recommendations to the Financial Resolution Manager for necessary mechanical repairs or necessary expenses to ensure repossessionssell for best possible results. Keeps management informed of repossession activities, progress toward established objectives, and any significant problems. Accurately prepares required repossession reports and summaries. Ensures appropriate and timely letters are mailed regular and certified to all borrowers (excluding bankruptcy and discharged debt) notifying of sale and deficiency balance. Participate in reviewing and developing repossession policies and procedures. Comply with internal policy and procedures and have knowledge of bankruptcy and lien laws as they apply to the collection process. Understand and follow debt collection regulations outlined by the FDCPA, CFPB and the TCPA. • Vehicle Abandoned/Tow Notices - Responsible for processing all Tow and Abandoned Vehicle Notices timely and accurately. Ensure all notices are properly identified and entered into the collections platform. Contact the agency where the vehicle is located to coordinate recovery efforts. Communicate with members to determine their intentions. When insurance is involved, follow up with the appropriate insurance adjuster. Ensure vehicles are timely resolved or recovered for liquidation, as applicable. • Credit Disputes - Assist and provide support as needed in responding to disputes from members concerning delinquent tradelines by mail, email or phone. Respond to E-Oscar and member credit disputes, within regulated timelines. Document and monitor incoming disputes and the ability to investigate and research any disputed content to ensure validity of reporting. • Insurance Total Loss Claims - Assist and provide support as needed in processing total loss claims. Review and ensure insurance company's Letter of Guaranty (LOG) is appropriately valued for vehicle in question. Assists members and staff with questions regarding GAP claims. Initiate filing GAP claims after insurance check is processed. Responsible for submitting support documents to GAP/Warranty Company within the required timeframe. Timely and accurately follow up with GAP/Warranty Company for claim payout to prevent account from affecting credit unions reportable delinquency. Processes claim and refund payments. • Credit Life, Disability, Unemployment Claims Processing - Provide support as needed in processing claim payments received through debt protection company. Processing payments posted to insurance account to members appropriate loan for payments. Assist in filing claims for members and assist with staff inquiries. • Assist with Collection Calls - Encourage prompt repayment of delinquent accounts by utilizing all methods of contact, i.e., phone, email, mail, and text messages. Ability to ask appropriate fact-finding questions, research and analyze members profile to determine if there is opportunity for assistance or recommend if more stringent collection actions should be taken. Document all collection efforts and pertinent information from member communications and any other resources utilized. The ability to remain positive and resilient in difficult situations. • Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: A high school diploma or G.E.D. Identifies, recommends, and submits requests for procedure creation and/or revision. Collaborates and assists with user acceptance testing for various systems and operational projects. Meets or exceeds established department metrics and service level agreements. • Specialized Accounts Handling - Acts as a subject matter expert for specialty accounts and documents, including but not limited to: Trusts, Estates, Business, Representative Payees, Conservatorships, Power of Attorneys, UTMA. Conducts quality assurance on specialty accounts. Serves as an analyst for specialty accounts by conducting research, assembling legal documents, making assessments, and recommending legal review if applicable. Facilitates support of deceased member accounts, including loan updates, account review, communications, maintenance, or closures, with a sensitive disposition while navigating legal boundaries and regulatory requirements. Responsible for updates to the CRM system to provide frontline team members with instructions. • Account Adjustment Resolution - Assists with and regularly completes simple and complex loan recast and adjustments. Performs file maintenance when appropriate to ensure accounts and loans reflect correctly in the core. Completes research and follow up on returned checks from loan proceeds. Is responsible for completion of assigned reports and ensures resolution of findings. Identifies trends and makes recommendations to management for improved processes or training to reduce loan posting errors. • Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: A high school diploma or G.E.D. EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of experience in operations, preferably in a Credit Union or financial institution environment. NMLS required. Ensures sales and service objectives are met through effective supervision and coaching of employees. This position ensures success of the branch through planning and execution of all aspects of branch performance. Leads various universal roles to ensure excellence in member service, sales production, and operational soundness. All duties will primarily be performed at the individuals home branch. However, they must also be prepared to provide onsite support to other branch locations as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES • Leading Talent - Hires, trains, directs and evaluates employee performance and behaviors to serve the member experience. Allocates resources to meet operations needs within the department. Provides leadership, coaching, and direction for their team members ensuring they have the support and development opportunities to become well-trained employees excelling in their roles. • Sales and Service - Ensures service standards and sales production objectives are achieved. Provides proactive, responsive, and engaged member and team member communication. Monitors employee performance and coaches effective loan application development, accuracy, follow up, and sales opportunities. Processes loan applications, funds loans, and opens new membership accounts as needed. Drive performance that leads to improved financial lives of our members. Makes talent development a priority for all branch team members and leads employees to achieve performance expectations. • Operations Management - Operational duties may include but are not limited to: Teller operations, preparation of professional written employee documentation, de-escalation of member concerns, appraisal delivery, scheduling, timecard validation, training, and completion of designated reports. Actively completes quality control reviews, ensuring operational soundness of all areas of internal and regulatory compliance. Ensures adherence to established security protocols. • Business Development - Optimizes branch location by effectively leading business ecosystem partnerships. Involved in driving additional business to the credit union by direct involvement in community and business development activities. Submits business development referrals to marketing department. • Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Equivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at an accredited educational facility preferred. EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years of leadership experience in a financial institution or similar industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Notary Commission, Signature Guarantee, and NMLS certification. • Use of personal internet-enabled Smartphone for Branch operating applications. • Live the mission, vision, and core values of the credit union. • Able to communicate effectively and tactfully with employees and members both orally and in writing. • Demonstrate critical thinking and being self-reliant to better analyze and solve problems. • Effective time management and organizational skills. Assists members with a wide range of services such as online banking, direct deposit, automatic transfers, and account maintenance. Completes teller transactions as needed. * Resource and Branch Support - Provides subject matter expert resources to branch team and acts as a lead in the absence of a manager to de-escalate member concerns.
