JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Achievement of budgeted food sales, beverage sales and labor costs.
Achieve maximum profitability and over-all success by controlling costs and quality of service.
Completion of BEO's in an accurate and timely fashion.
Produce a weekly schedule for hotel food and beverage staff, according to business levels and labor budgets.
To supervise and co-ordinate daily operation of meeting/banquet set-ups and service.
Completion of Banquet Bar Requisitions.
Following of proper purchasing and requisitioning procedures.
Maintain records for inventory, labor cost, and food cost etc.
To assist in menu planning and pricing.
Ensuring that services meet customer specifications.
Ensure quality of meeting room set-up. Ensure staff is briefed before the beginning of every event. Ensure rooms are turned around in time for next event.
Ensure all areas are kept clean, before during and after an event.
Participation towards overall Hotel Maintenance and cleanliness.
Handling customer complaints.
Work with the Catering Sales Manager to increase sales of the department. Assist with show rounds when necessary.
Check Staff attitude and appearance.
Teamwork/Professional relations with co-workers and management.
Ensure staff is properly trained. Ensure all training checklists are completed on a timely manner.
Staff training and development. Annual performance reviews are completed. Ensure ongoing training, coaching and mentoring of the Banquets team
Personal development and growth.
Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related fields preferred
At least two (2) years' experience as a Banquet Manager or prior experience in managing or supervising a banquet/ F&B team
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have a flexible schedule, be highly motivated and quality driven
Detail oriented yet able to excel while multi-tasking
Able to accept responsibility and lead by example
Cash handling and computer skills
Excellent communication skills

What you will be doing
Direct supervision of Front Desk Agents on his/her shift
Overall Front Desk operations in the absence of the Night Manager or Front Office Manager.
Performing all duties Front Desk agents are responsible for.
Keeping the lines of communication open with both Front Desk Leaders and the staff members who report to you.
Adhere to the policies of the Hotel as set forth in the Employee Handbook and report any observed violations to Front Office Manager.
Maintain the highest level of employee/guest relations.
Maintain a good working relationship with all Departments..
Instructing guest on local entertainment / dining as necessary.
Maintenance of Front Desk equipment and supplies.
Enthusiastically collecting guest feedback/comment cards.
Ensure proper staffing levels of front office associates, including interviewing, hiring, supervising, training and scheduling front desk agents, front office supervisors, guest service aides/bell staff, concierge staff and PBX operators.
Have complete understanding of Front Office staff's roles and duties and be able to perform duties at any given time.
Accurately manage and operate the MICROS system at the front office, including all daily transactions and those which are not performed often.
Accurately check AM and PM discrepancy reports.
Communicate with Housekeeping and Engineering Departments regarding guest rooms, requests and maintenance requests/needs. Efficiently process guest requests to the appropriate departments
