Drive CBU vehicles of class C status to transport passengers over scheduled routes to and from CBU in a safe and timely manner. Maintain various records: driving time, purpose of the trip, mileage, and vehicle maintenance. Knowledge of and compliance with traffic and highway safety rules and regulations. Clean the vehicle as scheduled and/or required. Ensure the vehicle is safely and securely stored. Assess incidents, complaints, accidents and/or potential emergency situations (e.g. road hazards, medical emergencies, accidents, etc.) to resolve and/or recommend a resolution to the situation. Assists students and other passengers in providing safe loading and unloading from vehicles during regular transport and emergency situations. Fuels assigned vehicle (e.g. oil, water, fuel, etc.) to maintain the vehicle in a safe operating condition. Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections (e.g. fluid levels, tire pressure, exterior condition, etc.) to ensure the safe operating condition of the vehicle and comply with mandated guidelines. Reports defects or maintenance problems with the vehicle to the supervisor. Establish and ensure a safe environment for students or other passengers. At the Riverside, CA plant you will oversee the manufacturing, production and distribution of our mulch and soil products and directly manage 4 supervisory and managerial employees, as well as more than 100 full-time + temporary hourly associates. We need you to have the ability to own the P&L of your facility and also roll up your sleeves and get dirty out on the production floor from time-to-time. In this role you will: Establish short and long term strategic operating objectives for the plant. Oversee plant operations including production, field, warehouse, shipping and receiving, maintenance and office management. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations; monitor and enforce quality control standards; forecast and schedule production; develop and/or approve all plant operating policies. Direct, manage and develop supervisory personnel to ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant. Support team members in professional development and/or career advancement. Establish, communicate, implement and enforce safety programs and procedures. Establish and monitor plant operating budget; prepare and analyze profit and loss statements; identify and implement improvements to positively affect profitability.
