About the Role
The role of the LicensePracticalNurse (LPN) at US Urology Partners is to provide administrative and clinical support to the providers of the practice. What You'll Be Doing
The LPN directs assigned provider patient schedule throughout the day.
Responsible for medication/script line. Re-directs the message to the RN, PA/ NP or provider if any clinical assessments need to be made on the patient's behalf.
Responsible for completing, in a timely manner, all company training and in-services, including but not limited to annual OSHA training and PPD placements.
Prepares room & equipment for office procedures assisting providers with office procedures to carry out clinical care including preparing the patient for their appointment.
After proper identification of the patient by full name and birthdate, the LPN will greet patients in the waiting area and escort them to the clinical care area for which their appointment is scheduled. Once the patient is placed in the exam room, the LPN assists in placing all personal belongings in the appropriate place in the exam room. Patient EMR chart is to be accurately updated in regards to weight, vital signs, medications and medical updates ensuring medical update form has been completed and the chart is ready for the provider (including lab work, x-rays, consultations).
The LPN explains procedures to the patients addressing any questions or concerns they may have within the scope of practice.
Maintains working knowledge of OSHA compliance standards and applies these policies and procedures to daily responsibilities.
Reports any adverse medication events to supervising provider.
Performs other duties as assigned.

OVERVIEW OF POSITION: Under direct supervision, the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Living Options monitors and oversees the general health, medical issues, personal care and well-being of residents living in the residential facility. Patient Care Type: A 24-bed unit specializing in the care of adult thoracic surgical patients requiring lung, esophageal, and other foregut surgical procedures. All rooms have ECG monitoring with additional capabilities such as invasive and noninvasive blood pressure monitoring. Patients require specialized postsurgical care including management of drainage systems, wound care, and early mobilization. Special emphasis is placed on respiratory assessment, intervention, and management of the postoperative recovery process.

The registered nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursingpractice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. The RN will function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. The ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice provide a basis for the practice of the RN.
