Knowledge of alcohol and other drugs that includes: Alcohol and addictive drugs and their physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual impact on the individual and their family.
Ability to determine if a medical emergency exists and to take appropriate action, when necessary.
Knowledge of emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose.
Knowledge of the stages of alcohol and other drug withdrawals and ability to take appropriate action at each stage.
Take vitals.
Administer medication to clients as directed.
Charting for insurance purposes.
Maintain a positive, professional attitude toward residents, staff and volunteers.
Handle crisis situations in a calm supportive manner.
Complete drug screening.
Create a safe and healthy environment for clients.
Comply with random employee drug screening.
Requirements
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
Adheres to Isaiah House policies and procedures.
Attends mandatory in-services and other training/educational programs as required.
