Essential Functions
- Be available to mobilize immediately to a potential loss anywhere in the U.S.
- You will be required to be on a monthly on-call rotation and be able to report a loss of no more than one hour to the warehouse and two hours or less to the job site. You may also be asked to report during an off-call situation if the project requires or as directed by management.
- Be knowledgeable in multiple services we provide through education, specialized training, and industry experience.
- Must have the ability to motivate a diverse group of strangers (temporary labor) into a cohesive team to perform the task at hand and the ability to get maximum results in a minimum amount of time. Zero tolerance is strictly enforced. Those who do not follow will be removed from the project.
- Self-control and professionalism throughout the project, treat everyone with respect.
- Adhere to company and safety standards, and follow OSHA and EPA regulations.
- To maintain the company image and appearance, each employee will be held to a higher standard and professionalism on behavior before, during, and after hours.
- Each person will be held accountable for their actions, and strict nightly curfews are set for Mooring employees traveling due to out-of-town projects established by the company.
- Familiarize yourself with the job site and know where off-limits areas, restrooms, parking, and line-up will be located; pay attention to high-risk areas as safety is a top priority.
- Attend morning meetings to receive daily assignments, work areas, and safety concerns.
- Obtain all PPE, necessary tools, materials, and supplies staged at your work location before the labor is assigned to you.
- Prepare labor for LINE-UP, keep your assigned labor quiet in a straight, single-file line directly behind you.
- Write down names of labor you will be responsible for during the shift, stay with your crew at all times, or you may experience disciplinary action as a result of unsupervised teams.
- Inform the Project Manager of missing labor during each line-up, and use the three-check system to assure attendance throughout the shift. (1-morning break 1- Lunch 1- afternoon break)
- Advise crew members to watch their language; standing around and loitering will not be tolerated, and slow or uncooperative people will be replaced.
- Enter and exit the work area in a single file line, keeping track of everyone you are responsible for throughout the day.
- Conduct quality control (QC) measures throughout your assigned work area. Take the time to check everyone’s work before you are assigned a new task.
- Keep detailed notes throughout the day of work assignments, completion of areas, and track material consumption and equipment usage. This is a critical part of the accounting, and all entries must be detailed, legible, and accurate.
- DO NOT BE LATE for any line-up meetings. It’s your responsibility to gather your labor after breaks and lunches. Tardiness can result in the removal of the project or termination.
- Maintain confidentiality of all company planning, strategies, and information.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience in restoration industry, including both Fire and Water mitigation a plus
- Must be able to work long periods of time in extreme temperatures both hot and cold
- Must be able to respond to service calls after-hours and during inclement weather
- Must have ability to communicate with others in written and verbal form
- Requires a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
