Job Summary
Responsible for the direction of crew activities on job site, and to provide a high quality of service and safe working environment.
Primary Duties:
Understand and implement job specifications for each site
Assign daily tasks to crew members and ensure compliance
Conduct daily job site safety briefing and tailgate meeting with crew
Safely climb trees using climbing hooks and belts, or climb ladders to access work area

Report equipment in need of repair to shop mechanic
Supervise safe loading and unloading of equipment
Assist Arbor Foreman with initial and on-going training of crews
Discuss job site observations with Arbor Foreman
Trim and reshape trees to achieve attractive shapes or remove low hanging branches
Cable, brace, tie, bolt, stake, and guy trees and branches to provide support
Cut away dead and excess branches from trees using climbing equipment or buckets of extended truck books, and/or chainsaws, hooks, handsaws, shears, and clippers
Lower branches with ropes or block and tackle
Transplant and remove trees and shrubs, and prepare trees for moving
Safe operation of shredding and chipping equipment, including the feeding of brush and limbs into machines
Safe operation of arbor vehicles and equipment, including but not limited to: boom trucks, loaders, stump chippers, brush chippers, tractors, sprayers, power saws, chainsaws, pole pruners, backpack blowers, and hand tools
Inspect trees to determine if they have disease or pest problems
Clean, sharpen, and lubricate tools and equipment
Shows up to work each day on time; completes all tasks within time expectations; adheres to company dress code policy; wears clean clothes to work each day; follows inclement weather policy and sick leave reporting procedures
Supervisory Duties:
This position supervises an Arbor Crew of 2-5 employees
Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience
High school diploma or GED
At least 2 years of professional tree work experience, including management of employees
Language Skills
Ability to communicate effectively with crew members and Arbor Foreman
Ability to verbally understand and communicate in English
Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
Valid driver license issued by the state where employed is strongly preferred
Valid ISA Certified Tree Worker Certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Basic tree care principals, pruning techniques, tree ID and disease ID
Tree climbing (above 15 feet), cabling, and safety procedures
Aerial rescue; safe work practices; proper PPE; hazard recognition; Dig Alert procedures and tree removal techniques; basic knots and rope operation for rigging; emergency tree rescue procedures

The Roadway Structures Division is seeking a qualified Senior Cement Finisher to perform skilled structural concrete repair work across the city's infrastructure. This position involves the demolition, removal, and replacement of deteriorated concrete on fixed and movable bridges, retaining walls, stairways, areaways, and other reinforced concrete structures. Duties will frequently include working at heights and in elevated or exposed positions, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols and use of fall protection equipment.
The Senior Cement Finisher will also be expected to assist during emergency response situations and will report directly to the Concrete Maintenance Crew Chief.
* Perform skilled concrete work on bridges, approaches, retaining walls, stairways, areaways, and other reinforced concrete structures-this includes demolition, rebar tying, form construction, placement, finishing, and shaping.
* Repair and reconstruct sidewalks, ADA-accessible ramps, and roadways, with particular focus on structural concrete spall repairs on elevated surfaces using scaffolding, lifts, or U-Bit buckets at heights exceeding 50 feet.
* Restore and install decorative pavement elements such as cobblestones, sidewalk tiles, and architectural brick.
* Use epoxy binders and pressurized injection equipment to reinforce concrete integrity. Conduct sandblasting as needed for surface preparation.
* Assist with structural inspections and prepare accurate repair estimates. Plan repair work, including materials, labor, and traffic control measures.
* Lead and guide assigned personnel, ensuring all work adheres to safety protocols-especially while working at heights and in potentially hazardous conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:

* 24-Hour Emergency Response will be expected and or part of the acceptance of this position-responsibility and ability to lead staff and or projects.

Communicate effectively with inspectors, superintendents, and project managers on project status.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, time, materials used, and crew attendance.
Identify and resolve on-site issues or delays to maintain project timelines.
Conduct daily toolbox talks, training, and enforce safety policies and best practices.
Requirements:
Ability to lift 75-100lbs
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in concrete (flatwork) with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of concrete (flatwork) techniques, materials, equipment, and safety regulations.
Ability to read prints and project specifications.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in operating paving and heavy equipment.
Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
Working Conditions:
Year-round, outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
Extended hours, including weekends and nights, required occasionally year-round.
Physically demanding environment including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
Compensation:

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent knowledge, education or experience
5+ Years in Commercial Roofing Service as a Foreman
7 or more years of experience working with roofing materials and systems
Superior knowledge of composition roofing and/or low slope installations
Strong knowledge of all commercial and residential roof systems and accessories
Proficient in technology including MS Office and basic computer software
Current drivers license with no restrictions
Successfully pass Drug Screen and Background Check
Essential Functions:
Manage site visits, locating leaks or damage and ensuring quality repairs in a safe and timely manner
Maintain a hands-on role utilizing strong technical knowledge of roofing
Provide excellent customer service and exceptional management of service teams
Regularly communicate with team members regarding job status
Make sure all work is performed safely, ensuring quality while meeting production goals
Respond to emergency roof leaks or roof-related issues
Perform inspections to determine the root cause of issues (i.e. leak, tear, clog)
Repair or replace single and/or four-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric
Ensure service technicians safely always utilize ladders and all other tools/equipment
Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to supervise and direct the work of service technicians ensuring safety and quality
Experience with various commercial roofing systems, along with TPO, EPDM, PVC, and metal roofs
Proven leadership, trade knowledge and the ability to hire, manage, and lead teams
Ability to understand all phases of roofing construction including low slope and steep slope roof system designs
Effective communication with corporate office, other contractors, project management, sales, and customers
Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads
