Job Summary
The Landscape Construction Foreman is responsible for leading field crews in the execution of commercial and residential landscape construction projects. This role combines hands-on installation work with crew supervision, jobsite coordination, and quality control to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
The Foreman serves as the on-site leader, ensuring daily production goals are met while maintaining high workmanship and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
CrewLeadership & Safety
Lead, supervise, and train landscape construction crews
Assign daily work tasks and manage jobsite productivity
Enforce safety policies, procedures, and jobsite best practices
Promote accountability, teamwork, and quality workmanship
Landscape Construction Execution
Oversee and perform installation of landscape construction scopes including:
Grading, drainage, and site preparation
Hardscape installations (pavers, retaining walls, concrete prep)
Irrigation system installation and repairs
Planting, sod, mulch, and landscape finishes
Ensure all work aligns with project plans, specifications, and schedules
Identify and resolve field challenges proactively
Scheduling, Materials & Equipment
Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to maintain project schedules
Monitor material usage and report shortages or inefficiencies
Operate and oversee safe use of equipment such as skid steers, mini-excavators, and trenchers
Maintain jobsite cleanliness and organization
Quality Control & Documentation
Perform daily quality checks on installed work
Complete required jobsite documentation including daily logs, photos, and time tracking
Assist with punch lists, inspections, and project closeout
Communication & Client Interaction
Maintain clear communication with Project Managers regarding progress and issues
Represent the company professionally with clients, homeowners, inspectors, and subcontractors
Participate in jobsite meetings as needed
Qualifications
Required
Minimum 3 years of landscape construction experience (commercial and/or residential)
Prior experience leading a crew or acting in a foreman role
Ability to read and interpret landscape and irrigation plans
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
Preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills
Commercial landscape construction experience
Irrigation installation and troubleshooting experience
Equipment operation experience (skid steer, mini-excavator, etc.)
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Physical Requirements
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs routinely
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and walk for extended periods

This role requires close collaboration with Project Managers, Engineers, and Roofing Teams to ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Install, repair, and replace commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal, and built-up roofing.
Apply roofing materials using techniques such as heat welding, cold application, and mechanical fastening.
Ensure proper sealing and waterproofing of roof penetrations, seams, and flashings.
Perform roof inspections and identify issues such as leaks, damage, or deterioration.
Use roofing tools and equipment safely, including torches, rollers, cutters, and power tools.
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to accurately determine project requirements and scope.
Maintain a clean and organized job site, minimizing material waste and maximizing efficiency.
Collaborate with construction teams to plan, schedule, and execute roofing projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure compliance.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients as needed.
Actively participate in scheduled safety meetings and comply with all personal protective equipment (PPE) and fall protection requirements.
Engage in company-sponsored training events to continually enhance technical skills and industry knowledge.
Consistently deliver exceptional workmanship and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Mentor and guide less-experienced crew members to promote professional development and adherence to best practices.
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
At least 2-3 years of experience in commercial roofing.
Knowledge of different roofing materials and application methods.
Comfortable working in outdoor conditions and lifting heavy materials.
Strong attention to detail, especially in sealing and waterproofing areas.
Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Must have or be willing to obtain OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening as a condition of hire.
Note:
Some project locations require employees to be US citizens. All crew members will be required to provide documentation of such prior to first access to the job site.
Ability to travel and work on projects outside of the local area, with scheduled return home every weekend
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in various weather conditions, climb ladders, and access roofs.
Position requires standing, kneeling, and lifting for extended periods.
Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and be comfortable working at heights.
Must be comfortable working at heights and capable of safely using ladders and other elevated access equipment.
Driving:
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record that meets company and insurance requirements to travel to job sites as required.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
3+ years of commercial roofing experience
Experience with roof coatings, mastic application, and caulking
Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and roof plans
Basic carpentry or sheet metal skills
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred
Aerial Lift and/or Forklift certified
First Aid / CPR certified
