Seeking Construction Material Technicians to perform testing and inspection services for building construction and infrastructure projects. Responsible for performing on-site testing of concrete, soil, aggregates, asphalt, steel, masonry, and more to ensure they meet project specifications. Documenting test results & field activities daily and communicating directly with owners reps, project managers, contractors and other on-site personnel. MUST be willing to travel, work a variable schedule including occasional weekends and overnight, and be outdoors in the elements for extended periods of time. Responsibilities: * Conducts quality control testing at project sites, including concrete, soils, masonry, asphalt, aggregate and reinforcing steel. * Ensure contractor compliance with state specifications, plans, and/or proposals for roadway, drainage, pavement, water works, electrical, maintenance, of traffic, pavement markings, signing, topsoil removal, demolition, foundations, sub-grades, guardrails, slope protection, and more. * Inspects construction projects to ensure contractor compliance with state specifications, plans and/or proposals and bridge projects. * Verifies plan quantities and calculations with as bid plans, prepares and maintains project records and reports and performs other duties as assigned by the Project Engineer. * Notifies the Contractor or the Project Engineer with status updates or about non-conforming work. * Prepares and maintains project records and reports and performs other duties as assigned by the Project Engineer in a timely manner. Consult with WTI Field Resource Supervisor and Human Resources as needed. * Perform any other duty and/or project as required or assigned by the WTI Supervisor and/or Regional Manager. Skills & Qualifications * Minimum five years' experience in the commercial roofing industry. * Must be thoroughly familiar with built-up, EPDM, PVC, and other forms of low-slope roofing systems as well as metal and other steep slope roofing systems and how to properly repair them.
