Promote positive relationships with customers, the public, utility representatives, and other contractors. Cooperate with emergency services when blocking streets or driveways. Maintain accurate records and reports on crew performance, incidents, equipment issues, and completed work. Investigate incident reports and damage claims as assigned. Qualifications What You Bring At least 3 years of experience in a tree crew or in utility vegetation management. Strong knowledge and understanding of the ANSI Z133 Safety Requirements and A300 Pruning Standards for arboricultural operations. Proficient in the identification of poisonous plants. Proficiency in electrical circuit basics and interpreting circuit maps. Advanced in tree ascent/descent using ropes and a safety saddle, and skilled in aerial lift operations. Crew Leader Technical Knowledge and Skills Certification (or ability to complete). Valid driver's license, CDL (as needed), and required medical certification. Acquire and keep the required training and licenses for the safe and proper use of herbicides. CPR and First Aid certified (provided by Lewis). Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Sets up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural steel members. Fastens steel members to cable of hoist, using chain, cable, or rope. Signals worker operating hoisting equipment to lift and place steel member. Guides member, using tag line (rope). Pulls, pushes, or pries steel members into approximate position while member is supported by hoisting device. Forces members into final position, using turnbuckles, crowbars, jacks, and hand tools. Aligns holes in member with corresponding holes in previously placed member by drifting drift pins or handle of wrench through holes. Verifies vertical and horizontal alignment of members, using plumb bob and level. Bolts aligned members to keep them in position until they can be permanently bolted, or welded in place. Alter steel members. Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations. As required, perform safety inspections of work area, equipment and tools, in accordance with SIC policy to ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and SIC's safety program. Resolve all discrepancies found through inspections. Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC. Observes SIC/Client Safety processes and procedures at all times. The Traffic Control Crew Leader is responsible for providing traffic management services for construction projects. This position is responsible for controlling traffic in and around construction work zones according to established procedures and policies to ensure a safe and efficient work site for all internal and external workers and the public. Organize, transport and supervise flaggers. Undertake daily and other routine servicing and safety maintenance. Setting up flagging operations, including advanced warning signs, and flagging traffic. Supplementing crews who need additional flaggers due to intersections or busy roadways. Installing and maintaining lane closures on a variety of roadways. Moving equipment.
