What You'll Do Own the Jobsite Lead daily field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to spec. Serve as the primary link between field crews and management - no dropped balls, no surprises. Lead People, Not Just Work Assign tasks based on skill, experience, and project needs. Set clear expectations, provide direction, and hold your crew accountable - respectfully and consistently. Address conflicts and issues head-on, professionally, and quickly. Adjust daily schedules based on priorities, weather, and resources to keep production moving. Control the Details Monitor labor, materials, and equipment usage to support budget targets. Provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and needs to supervisors. Ensure company policies, procedures, and standards are followed consistently. What You Bring Experience & Qualifications Minimum 2+ years as a Civil Foreman or in a similar leadership role in heavy civil construction. Strong ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and blueprints. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; comfortable working in a Mac environment. The program manages trail access and conducts trail maintenance to provide important public services including recreational opportunities, experiences related to history and historic trails, and economic opportunities where possible for commercial trail vendors. Nā Ala Hele trails are also important for access into natural areas for management, research, hunting, and wildfire response. Driving state vehicles, sometimes on rough 4-wheel drive roads. The work week will be 5 days, 8 hours per day, typically M-F but may include occasional evening and weekend work. Marginal Duties May be required to lead volunteer groups in trail maintenance. May be asked to interact with the public through informal trailside conversation and updates on trail conditions and projects.
