We're looking for senior tradespeople with experience working on Railroad construction jobs. This is a travel job with projects across the Eastern US.
Your role will encompass a blend of outdoor physical labor, equipment operation, and technical expertise, contributing to the enhancement and protection of rail infrastructure. The position offers continuous learning opportunities and the chance to refine your skills in shotcrete operation and mix design, ensuring precise execution with minimal waste.
Responsibilities
Working with a Superintendent and teammates, apply your skills effectively to get work done efficiently, safely and correctly.
Work in your specialty area but be willing and able to contribute any work that helps drive project success.
Travel across the US to do work. Schedules depending on the location of the crew member and the work.
Learn and apply new skills so you can do more: machines, soils technology, specialty techniques, leadership and problem-solving principles.
Qualifications
Ability to obtain client required certification.
Knowledge of and adherence to strict safety and environmental regulations.
Proficiency in all essential functions of a Railroad Stabilization Technician.
3+ years of shotcrete or civil construction concrete experience
Expertise in shotcrete pump operation, with the ability to apply shotcrete accurately and efficiently.
Precision in shotcrete application to minimize waste and ensure project quality.
Comprehensive understanding of mix design principles for optimal material performance(wet and dry applications).
Ability to troubleshoot grout pump and shotcrete pump issues effectively.
Running and securing hoses for maximum safety and output.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in time management and prioritization.
Capacity to thrive in a dynamic and occasionally challenging work environment.
Equipment cleanup and maintenance.
Experience with casing, rock drilling or similar.
At least one year of traveling construction labor experience.
At least one year of working outside in all conditions.
Ability to understand and meet daily production targets.
A history of problem solving; the ability to grasp a problem, see a solution, and do whatever it takes to get the problem solved.
A history of complying with construction crew safety principles and tools.
Ability to be on time, all the time, every time.

Supervise and perform construction duties on a daily basis ensuring quality construction for expedited commercial deployment of services. Supervise subcontractors and job site personnel to complete scope of work assigned.
What You Will Do - Primary Responsibilities
Inspect and approve all sub-contractor's work.
Schedule and coordinate with all local authorities for required inspections.
Complete work in a timely and efficient manner by planning, prioritizing and mobilizing staff, materials and subcontractors to meet progression schedule.
Ensure Construction Supervisor is apprised of construction progress, concerns and deviations from plans or established schedule.
Identify all materials and other resources needed to complete project.

Identify construction "punch list" of items to be remedied and ensure they are completed prior to customer's inspection.
Finalize all inspections to close project.
Assign tasks to fellow crew members and perform civil or tower construction activities such as (These preceding items are civil construction activities), stacking towers, testing, positioning antennas, installing antennas, running coax, etc.
Ensure tasks assigned to crew are completed in timely, quality manner.
Train and assist employees in completing tasks. Professionally interact with client's representatives.
May maintain and enforce all SBA and OSHA safety practices, perform daily jobsite safety inspections on equipment prior to operation. Immediately stops work when unsafe work practices or conditions exist.
Must be able to work overtime to include Saturdays, Sundays and evening hours.
