Dassault Falcon Jet recently opened a state-of-the-art flagship Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility at the Melbourne Orlando International Airport in Melbourne, Florida. Dassault Falcon Jet will serve customers across North and South America and beyond, the complex will accommodate all current Falcon models, (including the new, ultra-long-range Falcon 10X, the largest purpose-built business jet), and will be capable of performing major maintenance and modifications on up to 18 Falcon models.
Dassault Falcon Jet in Melbourne, FL is seeking a full-time weekend (FRI-MON 8:30AM - 7:00PM) Aircraft Maintenance Crew Lead. The Crew Lead is responsible for the efficient execution of the work scope. The Crew Lead ensures tasks, within the scope of their normally assigned duties, are performed using established standards of quality and airworthiness. The Crew Lead is responsible to the Accountable Manager for Repair Station Operations conducted under 14 CFR 145.
JOBS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Effectively teams with the respective Maintenance Supervisor and Quality Assurance Inspector assigned to the aircraft to efficiently execute the aircraft work scope and communicates at all levels of the organization and with customers as directed.
Attends the customer debrief as directed.
Assigns technicians to perform the tasks as directed by the Crew Chief. Assigns QC Inspector to perform inspection of work performed as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Ensures the use of applicable technical data, including but not limited to, the methods, techniques and practices prescribed in the current manufacturer's maintenance manual.
Ensures that personnel assigned to perform tasks are qualified to perform the task and identifies training requirements.
Ensures that aircraft maintenance paperwork and forms are completed in accordance with methods of execution outlined in the RSQCM.
Provides for the shift turnover requirements as outlined in the RSQCM
Collaborates and cooperates with the assigned Maintenance Supervisor to achieve the on time and on budget objectives of the work scope.
Collaborates and cooperates with the assigned QA Inspector to achieve aircraft approval for return to service.
Drives daily activities toward providing services and deliverables to the customer that meet and exceed customer satisfaction expectations.
Ensures that crews maintain good housekeeping practices by utilizing a 5S system of “sort, set in order, shine, standardize, and sustain.” Takes immediate action to maintain a clean safe environment.
Maintains a focus on Human Factors in the workplace and drives to zero defects in workmanship and safety.
Supports the Maintenance Error Analysis Process (MEAP).
Contributes to the annual training needs assessment exercise required by the Repair Station Training Program.
Supports the corporate mission and vision through achievement of department goals and objectives, contributes to process improvement and the development of strategies that improve customer service and the maintenance process.
Tool Control: It is the responsibility of every employee to inventory their tools at the end of their shift and whenever moving from one aircraft project to another. It is also the responsibility of the employee to return company tools to the tool room at the end of each shift or prior to moving to another aircraft. Proper tool control is mandated by the FAA and our Repair Station and Quality Control Manual. It is imperative to have the correct tool logged to the aircraft that it is being used on for calibration usage and recall purposes.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the respective Maintenance Supervisor.
Extended travel to offsite locations to perform job duties and/or training may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent.
A & P license
Active driver's license
Proven ability to lead and direct aircraft technicians and mechanics.
Ability to organize and assign technical work and follow up complex projects.
Proven ability to work and communicate effectively with managers, supervisors, technicians, and customers in a business-like manner.
Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation for this position typically falls between $40 and $51 per hour. This position is eligible for overtime and may be eligible for shift differential or relocation assistance. Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.

Essential Job Functions:
Plans and supervises activities including determining the method of construction, sequencing, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, and work schedule
Trains and manages other field staff
Through assigned Foremen, manages the day-to-day activities of the construction operation
In conjunction with the Project Manager, creates and maintains project schedule; plans monitor, and reviews critical path dates and milestone schedules
Communicates site problems, conflicts, schedules, and quality issues effectively to the Project Manager and owner
Resolves field construction problems
Maintains open communication between all subcontractors to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc. support project activities and project schedule
Monitors field staff & subcontractor compliance with project safety program requirements; ensures that weekly safety inspections and toolbox talks are completed; ensures that corrective measures are implemented
Assists the Safety Department in performing incident and/or accident investigations and follow-up
Understands all subcontractors' scopes; assures subcontractors maintain schedules, and quality standards to meet contract requirements
Assists the Project Manager with subcontractor disputes, quality control, and schedule coordination
Works with the Project Manager and owner's representatives to ensure work complies with drawings and specifications
Supports the Project Manager in the negotiation of claims and changes
Provides input to Project Manager regarding cost and schedule forecasts
Assists the Project Manager with Change Order review
Performs project close-out and ensures punch list is completed in a timely manner
Mentors Project Associates assigned to the project
Position Requirements:
A minimum of three years experience on construction projects in a Healthcare Foreman or Healthcare General Foreman role (or higher) position
Ability to read and interpret construction documents
Effective communication skills
Knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control, and ability to control and supervise small to midsized groups
Good organization, multi-tasking, leadership, and decision-making ability
Basic computer skills preferred
