Design/Build Project Crew will report to the Install Lead/Foreperson. The foreman supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in loading, unloading, storing, transferring and processing of recyclables materials such as scrap metal, plastic, and glass in outdoor recycling facility by performing the following duties.
Major Job Responsibilities/ Duties
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Confers with plant personnel, plans and allocates use of material handling equipment such as conveyors, cranes, tractors and trucks
* Directs workers engaged in keeping records of materials received and used
* Inspects incoming materials and verifies invoices
* Responsible for enforcement of safety regulations
* Interprets job orders to workers and assigns duties
* Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
* Maintains time and production records
* Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
* Performs activities of workers
* Responsible for reporting and help correcting all HAZ ID's and near misses
* Directs customers to safe unloading areas
Job Qualifications
* High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
* Must have 3 to 5 years applicable industry experience or related industry
* Willing to work in shop area and outdoor environments in all types of weather
* Must have strong customer service skills
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Must have excellent problem solving skills
