Job Overview:
The National Simulation Center's Global Simulation Capability serves as the US Army's Constructive Simulation Provider for Army Corps and Division Headquarters home station training events in the Continental United States. This is position supports the Global Simulation Capability, National Simulation Center at Fort Leavenworth, KS in support of the National Simulation Center (NSC) Support Operations (SO) task order under MTCCS II IDIQ.
Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established the Government customer.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Conducts overall management coordination and integration for all technical, networking, simulation, exercise design, and administrative support
Assists the Government in the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of simulation systems and tools, and exercises and training events
Provides strategic solutions for standardizing technology, technical documentation, and technical support models across the site(s)
Provides system integration, administration and security technical support for training events and exercise end user items associated with simulation systems and MCIS, and/or exercise Information System (IS) devices.
Attends training, seminars, conferences, exercise/experiment planning events, site surveys, and training events.
On occasion, operates simulation system or MCIS for the unit during execution of the training event, conducts troubleshooting as necessary
Performs other related duties as assigned.

About the Role
The position is responsible for all activities at the construction site, including providing a safe and productive work environment, maintaining schedules, and ensuring projects stays within budgetary limits set forth by the estimate.

Coordinates materials staging are as between the various trades and monitors material deliveries.
Maintains inventory and control over the projects tools, materials, equipment, and security.
Writes and maintains a project's daily record in detail through daily reports. Communicates those reports to the office on a daily basis.
Holds, at minimum, weekly coordination meetings between all subcontractors who are currently on site and any that will be on site in the near future. Coordinates work flows, safety, environmental concerns, manpower requirements, materials requirements and overall schedule through these meetings.
Is responsible for the overall project schedule. Writes and maintains short term interval schedules for the use and review of all trades on the project. Is responsible for quality control on the project: holds all works accountable for adherence to the project plans and specifications. Holds pre-installations meetings to review installation procedures for all major materials used and has a thorough understanding of the project specifications and industry standards for installation of all materials to be used. Pre-installation meetings include manufacturers representatives, required design team members, affect ed subcontractors, and if necessary the owners representative. Assures that the work adheres to the project plans, specifications, codes, and other governmental agencies requirements. Coordinates inspections and insures that testing is being performed per the contract documents.
Maintains project budget through management of all labor associated with the project. Tracks and monitors the labor force for productivity .
Manages company and rental equipment for maximum productivity and minimum cost.
Keeps accurate record of time for employees, accurately codes the time to the tasks completed and reports time to the office in a timely manner.

Trims and/or removes trees by climbing with the aid of a ladder, safety belt, climbing line, powered trimmer lift truck, or works from the ground using saws/pruners. Will cut branches or trunk sections and drops or lowers them to the ground with lines.
Uses appropriate tools, will fell trees or trimmed trunks and split them into manageable pieces.
Sprays stumps and brush with hand-spraying equipment to prevent further growth.
Loads and unloads trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris and/or feeds brush into a wood chipper.
Repairs slight damage to lawns, fences, and walks caused by tree trimming.
Services gasoline, air, and hand-powered tools and other equipment.
Relays hand-signals, directs traffic, drives and operates trucks and equipment as assigned, and keeps trucks and work area clear and orderly.
Trains new employees on proper procedures.
Works around hazardous equipment and in close proximity to energized power lines.
Works around excessive noise from machines, chainsaws, wood chipper and must wear proper personal protective equipment.
Is exposed to all temperatures and weather; will be exposed to nature, i.e., irritating plants, biting or stinging insects, dust, etc.
May work on rough terrain.
Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Has a minimum of 3 years' experience working on tree trimming or clearing crews and/or has successfully completed applicable performance reviews.
Possess excellent leadership skills and be able to handle stressful situations along with being able to multi-task.
Has a basic knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits and correct arboricultural techniques for the trimming, pruning, repairing, maintaining and removing, as applies to working in close proximity to energized conductors.
Knows and understands the American National Standards for Tree Care Operations (ANSI Z133.1-2000).
Has a basic knowledge of electrical circuit and must be skilled in the reading and understanding of circuit maps.
Ability to communicate professionally, both verbal and in writing, with the general public, customers, and fellow employees.
Enforces on-the-job safety practices.
Must be able to wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Needs to be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times per day.
Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work tasks such as rain, heat, sun, cold, snow.
Must be able to write, read, and comprehend written and verbal job instructions/information.
Must be able to communicate with others and represent Wright Tree Service in a professional manner.
Possesses the ability to lift, move, and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis.
