The Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of a crew to ensure efficient and safe completion of tasks. The position plays a key role in developing talent, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a positive working environment. This role will manage and develop a three-person crew daily.
Responsibilities:
Supervision
Oversee and direct a crew.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to crew members based on their skills and experience.
Monitor the performance of workers to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
Ensure crew work time is logged under specific job and task each day in JobTread.
Project Coordination
Collaborate with superintendents and project managers to understand project requirements.
Complete assigned tasks in JobTread each day.
Create daily logs in JobTread each day.
Quality Assurance
Ensure that work meets quality standards and specifications.
Conduct inspections and quality checks regularly.
Address and resolve any issues related to quality or workmanship.
Safety
Follow safety procedures and guidelines for equipment operation.
Report any accidents, injuries or near misses immediately to supervision.
Maintenance
Report when equipment maintenance and repairs are needed.
Perform daily inspections to identify potential issues.
Ensure that equipment is in good working condition.
Ensure machines are greased each day.
Communication
Foster open communication within the team.
Relay project updates, changes, and other relevant information crew members.
Act as a liaison between workers and superintendents.
Skills
Read and follow pool design plans.
Facilitate pool excavation with subcontractors.
Form and plumb pool shells.
Excavate plumbing trenches and install plumbing/conduits.
Construct equipment pads and plumb in pool equipment.
Install equipotential grounding grids per code.
Locate and repair plumbing leaks.
Install winter covers in all types of patios.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience in a similar role, with a background in pool construction or related industries preferred.
· Familiarity with relevant technologies and tools used in the industry.
· Valid driver's license and DOT Medical card.
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to motivate and inspire a team.
· Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Supervise crew members conducting installation and repair of underground utility pipes (water, storm drain, sewer, duct banks and concrete structures).
Monitor production and cost daily.
Perform work activities within productions budget.
Assist Superintendent and General Foreman with job start up sheets and schedules.
Coordinate job requirements of company resources with Superintendent to ensure optimum use.
Maintain progress of work activity in accordance with the progress schedule to ensure contract completion within the required time regardless of other considerations.
Assist the Superintendent in overseeing and coordinating subcontractor's work. Subcontractor to perform on schedule in accordance with subcontract.
Maintain positive jobsite relations with owner, subcontractors and prime contractor.
Maintain job diary being sure to enter instructions from Owner, daily activity and location, communications with subcontractors, and anything unusual.
Coordination with Superintendent / General Foreman regarding production review, activity planning, progress, and compliance with contract documents.
Identify/document changes and notify Superintendent / General Foreman before proceeding.
Take all steps necessary to complete the contract in accordance with the contract provisions.
Notify Superintendent / General Foreman to document completion of milestones in work and final completion of work.
Responsible for daily checks on safety.
Responsible for daily time sheets.
Responsible for daily planning of material, equipment, and labor needs.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Continuing education in construction is a plus.
Must have a minimum 3 years of experience as a Foreman supervising underground utilities projects.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and diagrams.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must have a valid driver's license.

The Concrete Finishing Foreman supervises a crew of Finishers and semi-skilled employees in work activities associated with smoothing and finishing surfaces of poured concrete. The Finishing Foreman will be responsible and ensure that elevation benchmarks are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (“Incidental” job duties may be included but
Manages and develops a Finishing crew of 8- 12 Finishers.
Ensures the Finishing crew completes all projects in accordance with project scope of work and specifications.
Coordinates with General Superintendent and Field Superintendents to tactfully schedule all concreate flatwork operations utilizing all assets and resources to minimize costs.
Responsible to review project scope of work and specifications for each project and ensure work details are communicated accurately to the crew and successfully completed.
Required to conduct job site visits to pre-plan upcoming concrete pours and finishing activities.
Inspects condition of grade, forms, and steel placement for compliance with project specifications.
Monitors placement and finishing operations for project specification compliance.
Must ensure job site, tools, equipment, inventory, and supplies are safe, secure, neat and in orderly condition on a daily basis.
Required to ensure all finishing equipment is always in working order and properly maintained.
When necessary, required to properly operate Finishing equipment including but not limited to ride on/walk behind trowel machines, vibra screed and aluminum straightedges, roller/truss screeds, etc.
Trains crew in the proper use of all Finishing Equipment as necessary.
Responsible to perform soft cut sawing at times and also teaches and ensures the crew is properly performing soft cut sawing..
Must ensure that all finishing equipment is thoroughly cleaned at the end of each workday.
Responsible to provide the General Superintendent/Field Superintendent with daily written reports that outline the work activity details for each project site.
Responsible to inventory all finishing equipment parts daily, to included but not limited to trowel and float blades, and order as necessary.
Ensures staff adheres to all Company and OSHA safety policies and standards including the use of PPE. Must wear proper PPE including safety glasses/face shield, safety gloves, and steel toed boots.
Conducts daily huddles that included relevant toolbox talks.
Must perform other job related as needed.
Build and develop trusting relationships with current customers and seek to identify opportunities to grow our customer base and build positive relationships.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE (Include necessary licenses and specialized training.)
Minimum of 7+ years' experience as a Concrete Finisher Foreman
Demonstrated experience overseeing a Finishing crew of at least 8 Finishers.
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with subordinators and all levels of management.
Proven ability to understand all facets of elevation/grades for all types of concrete placement.
Illustrate in-depth knowledge of all concrete processes.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and elevations.
OSHA 30 certification required.
CPR and First Aid certification required.
Proven experience operating Finishing equipment including but not limited to proper operation of ride on/walk behind trowel machines, the use of vibra screed and aluminum straightedges, use of roller/truss screeds.
Must have experience with soft cut sawing.
Specialty concrete knowledge (stamped, exposed aggregate and Pervious concrete) is preferred but not required.
