    Qaqaq Construction is seeking a General Laborer to support various physical tasks on construction sites. Responsibilities include site preparation and cleanup, trench digging, scaffolding setup, demolition, and debris removal. The role also involves loading and distributing materials, tools, and equipment to designated areas. May operate a range of hand and power tools such as air hammers, tampers, cement mixers, hoists, and measuring instruments. This position may also assist skilled trades and perform other duties as assigned. **Responsibilities** Essential functions will include: + Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards. + Erect and dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures. + Load, unload, and distribute building materials, tools, and machinery to appropriate locations. + Measure, mark, and record layout dimensions for construction activities. + Operate pumps, compressors, or generators to power tools, equipment, or move materials. + Mix, pour, and spread concrete using portable cement mixers. + Control and direct traffic around work zones. + Dig trenches or ditches, backfill excavations, and compact or level earth using hand and pneumatic tools. Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise: + Proficient in the use of hand and small power tools. + Understanding of construction materials, methods, and tools used in building and repair work. + Strong commitment to working safely and following all company policies and procedures. + Awareness of workplace safety standards and hazards. + Ability to operate tools and perform tasks in compliance with OSHA regulations. + Reliable attendance and punctuality. + Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. + Able to follow verbal and written instructions accurately. + Works effectively as part of a team. + Demonstrates professionalism and respectful interaction with coworkers and clients. **Qualifications** Minimum Qualifications: + At least 1 year of general labor or construction experience. Physical and Mental Demands: + Occasionally lift, push, or pull 50-100 lbs; frequently lift, push, or pull up to 20 lbs. + Frequent bending, squatting, crouching, crawling, and kneeling. + Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and ramps safely. + Prolonged standing for intervals of 2-3 hours. + Work at various physical levels (waist, eye, overhead). + Maintain balance on uneven surfaces and around obstacles. + Sufficient handgrip strength and coordination to operate tools and equipment. + Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with OSHA standards. + Able to respond to verbal and audible instructions. + Adequate vision for construction tasks. + Comfortable working at heights over 12 feet using ladders, scaffolding, or man lifts. + Full range of motion including overhead, lateral, and downward reaching. + Ability to perceive physical characteristics (e.g., size, shape, temperature, texture) with hands and fingers. + Ability to rotate head and torso side-to-side and around vertical axis. + Perform physically demanding tasks involving full-body movement, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and material handling. + Use of hands and arms for installing, positioning, and moving materials and equipment.     Job Title Foreman I Working with the superintendent or plant manager, helps coordinate day to day oversight of the site, plant or workshop. Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or educational equivalent.1 year experience in warehouse/plant/operations environment.
