JOB SUMMARY This position serves to provide oversight and management of major capital projects for the Projects group, within our Technical & Shared Services (TSS) organization. This position is responsible for project safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements. Responsibilities include working closely with various TSS departments as well as external groups. This role requires the ability to review and if needed, develop work products such as: project scope documents, cost estimates, P6 schedules, safety plans, quality plans, and staffing plans. Skills Attention to detail Exceptional customer service Inspiring and effective leadership Problem-solving and conflict resolution Instructive and empowering communication Reading and interpreting landscape blueprints Proficiency with landscape management software Equipment and tool operation (i.e., chainsaws, mini-skids) Horticultural knowledge (i.e., plants, soil science, climate conditions) Landscape construction methods (i.e., drainage, hardscape construction) Project management (i.e., planning, overseeing timelines and resources) Responsibilities Reading landscape design | construction plans to lay out a project accordingly Sequencing the order of operations for each landscape project from its initial demolition to final polishing Accurately assessing the skills of the crew and delegate tasks accordingly Constructing various hardscape elements such as retaining walls, patios, and pathways Installing various soft scape elements such as trees, shrubs, and turfgrass Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience managing landscape construction projects Safely pulling trailers and operating landscape construction equipment and tools Ability to pass a preliminary drug screening and background check, including a motor vehicle report Ability to access and navigate our bulk yard, loading areas, office space, and other areas of our facilities Strength, stamina, mobility, and ability to carry 80 pounds, as well as perform physical work outdoors, especially during hot and cold weather conditions Associate's or bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Landscape Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a similar field is a plus!
