Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Department: Civil Compensation: $55 - $65 / hour
The Opportunity
Alpha Inc. is looking for a Civil Foreman who leads from the front - someone who commands respect on the jobsite, protects their crew like family, and delivers work that stands the test of time.
This is not a clipboard-only role. This is boots on the ground, eyes on safety, hands on the plan, and full ownership of outcomes.
You are the connection point between strategy and execution, management and crew, plans on paper and iron in the dirt.
If you take pride in running tight jobsites, developing people, and holding the line on safety, quality, and accountability - this role was built for you.
About Alpha Inc.
Founded and grown on Maui, Alpha Inc. is a locally owned leader in heavy civil construction, concrete, drilling, energy, and infrastructure solutions. We build projects that matter - for communities, for crews, and for future generations.
Everything we do is grounded in our three core values:
Lead with Heart - We protect our people, treat each other with respect, and lead with humility.
Strength in Unity - One crew, one mission. We win together or not at all.
Alpha Mentality - We take ownership, pursue excellence, and raise the standard every day.
As a Civil Foreman, you are a culture carrier of these values on every jobsite you lead.
What You'll Do
Own the Jobsite
Lead daily field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to spec.
Serve as the primary link between field crews and management - no dropped balls, no surprises.
Lead People, Not Just Work
Assign tasks based on skill, experience, and project needs.
Set clear expectations, provide direction, and hold your crew accountable - respectfully and consistently.
Address conflicts and issues head-on, professionally, and quickly.
Set the Safety Standard
Enforce all safety protocols without exception.
Inspect tools, equipment, and site conditions daily.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free jobsite at all times.
Drive Quality & Productivity
Read, interpret, and execute construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
Monitor work quality across all activities and correct issues before they escalate.
Adjust daily schedules based on priorities, weather, and resources to keep production moving.
Control the Details
Monitor labor, materials, and equipment usage to support budget targets.
Provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and needs to supervisors.
Ensure company policies, procedures, and standards are followed consistently.
What You Bring
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years as a Civil Foreman or in a similar leadership role in heavy civil construction.
Strong ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and blueprints.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; comfortable working in a Mac environment.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Leadership & Mindset
You lead with confidence and humility.
You take ownership - excuses don't live on your jobsite.
You protect your people, your schedule, and Alpha's reputation.
You believe culture, safety, and execution are inseparable.
Why Alpha?
Because here, Foremen aren't just supervisors - they're leaders.
At Alpha Inc., you'll work with:
Crews who take pride in their craft
Leadership that listens and backs the field
Projects that make a real impact across Hawaiʻi
A company where values aren't posters - they're practiced
If you want to be part of a team that builds right, leads right, and treats people right, you'll feel at home here.
