Job Description: This position assists with the construction, repair, and maintenance of underground facilities. For compliance with certain jobs, this position may also be recruited from a state construction labor-approved apprenticeship program. Job Duties: Safely operate entry-level construction tools and equipment associated with construction activities, including trenchers, forklifts, tampers, mud-vacs, etc. Digging, backfilling, and all other entry-level processes associated with underground construction activities. Assists with the preparation, installation, and maintenance of cables, conduits, vaults, and pedestals for copper and fiber cables according to safety regulations and engineering drawings and plans.
