Steamboat is looking for cooks of all skill levels to join the growing culinary team. From entry level Cook 1 to Cook 4 for those who have multiple years of experience. Prepares various foods, under supervision, for restaurant and banquets.
Assist in maintaining appropriate quality and production.
Maintain high pace while cooking/prepping for a high-volume restaurant and other functions.
Participates in cost control and ongoing sanitation practices.
Set work area according to station guide
Knife skills appropriate for cook level
Will label, date, rotate product and keep a clean station. Properly store food in correct and allotted areas.
Complete Food Handler and Allergen training. Ensure compliance with established health and safety procedures.
Report all observations of damaged/ dangerous equipment.
Conduct and record time and temps at station. Has awareness of storage areas, labeling and dating.
Takes direction from Chefs, Sous Chefs, and outlet managers.
Organize station to create greatest efficiency and keep work area and kitchen organized and clean at all times, adhering to all state and local sanitary requirements.
Assist Sous Chef and Chef with securing/storing food deliveries with knowledge of food hierarchy placement.
Support with communication/notification regarding product outages. 86'd items, product shortages, low inventory items.
Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of previous work history/education required
Must read, write, and speak fluently in English
Cook 1 - Preferred experience as a basic prep cook and/or counter service worker, but not required
Cook 2 - One year of relevant professional cooking experience
Cook 3 - 2 years' experience as a professional cook or 1 year plus an associate degree in Culinary Arts
Cook 4 - 3 years of relevant professional cooking experience or 2 years of experience and an associate degree in Culinary Arts
Ability to work at a high pace with a variety of kitchen equipment
Must be able to adhere to Steamboat Culinary Guidelines
Intermediate skiing/riding ability required for certain locations
Expected to interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp's Service Excellence standards
Must have current Food Handler and Allergy training certificate, or must attend Food Handler and Aller-train certification courses for Alterra Mountain company within 14 days of employment
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

1. Assist in meal preparation and service by cooking, proportioning and setting up serving lines, condiment stand and fruit and vegetable bar. 5. Maintain records including but not limited to, entering amount of food prepared, used and leftover on menu worksheets. Store, date, and label leftover food
6. Foster a team environment by assisting coworkers with scheduled work demands
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
• One year work experience with preparation of large volume food preparation and/or cashiering preferred.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS:
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-hire, post-offer physical examination.

**What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be**
**Staff Carpenter:**
+ Perform skilled carpentry work using various materials related to the construction of theatrical scenery.
+ Assist with the planning, layout, construction, and installation of scenic projects while working closely with the CSF Technical Director and CSF Associate Technical Director(s) to ensure that the scenic elements of the productions are completed with an emphasis on quality and safety.
+ Support transitioning the shop space to a tech rehearsal and performance space.
+ Participate in repertory changeovers and provide routine maintenance.
+ Participate in run crew as needed.
+ This position reports directly to the CSF Technical Director.
**Lighting Technician:**
+ Participate in electrics installation, maintenance, and repair of all lighting equipment. Assist the CSF Lighting Supervisor in engineering all lighting systems.
+ Operate the lighting console for all performances or function as deck electrician as assigned.
+ Complete standard operating procedures pertaining to stage lighting practice, including dimmer/focus checks, lamps, color, etc.
+ Participate in repertory changeovers and provide routine maintenance.
+ Instruct the run crew in show operation and lighting console operation.
+ Install all set / stage lighting equipment and set electrics in consultation with the CSF Lighting Supervisor or Production Manager.
+ Collaborate with the audio department to ensure efficient system installation across departmental lines.
+ Participate in end-of-season strike and restoration of theatre spaces, return of rental items, and preparation of off-season storage.
+ This position reports directly to the CSF Lighting Supervisor.
**Audio Engineer / Technician:**
+ Installation, maintenance & repair of equipment, sound reinforcement, including all radios and headset systems (both wired and wireless).
+ Work with the CSF Production Manager and/or CSF Sound Supervisor to ensure goals are met within budget and time constraints.
+ Operate sound console or function as deck audio technician for all tech rehearsals and performances as assigned.
+ Participate in repertory changeovers and provide routine maintenance.
+ Participate in end-of-season strike and restoration of theatre spaces, return of rental items, and preparation of off-season storage.
+ This position reports directly to the CSF Sound Supervisor.
**Scenic Artist:**
+ Assist the CSF Scenic Charge Artist in painting scenic elements in a four-show repertory season.
+ This position reports directly to the CSF Scenic Charge Artist.
**Props Artisan:**
+ Assist the CSF Props Supervisor in building, modifying, and/or procuring all props in the four-show repertory season.
+ Participate in run crew as needed.
+ This position reports directly to the CSF Props Supervisor.
**Theatrical Stage Technician:**
+ Assist with planning, fabrication, preparation, and installation of theatrical scenery, equipment, and infrastructure in the Mary Rippon Outdoor Theatre and the Roe Green Theatre (indoors).

+ Theatrical Stage Technicians have varied schedules depending on need and availability.

General Summary: Read blueprints for custom designed crates and build heat treated pallets and walls and assemble rates.
Requirements:
Essential Job Function:
Build a pallet from design drawings
Build wall sets from design drawings
Familiar with customer build requirements
Complete understanding of how to run shop tools and equipment
Strong communication skills
Assist in shop maintenance and initiatives
General knowledge of drawings
Can be relied upon to build consistently to a high quality
Takes responsibility for properly maintaining tools
Embody company anchors and impart knowledge on new team members
Ability to become internally certified to operate a forklift; safely operate forklifts once certification is obtained.
Cross Train and work in other divisions/departments as needed

Work Schedule
This position follows the 173 day calendar schedule and is 5 hours per day, Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 1:30pm.
