Shift: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday Air Conditioned Warehouse ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned. * Ensure all required tooling, plates, cylinders, materials, dies, and accessories are staged on the set-up cart prior to press make-ready. * Mount printing plates as required per job specifications. * Organize and maintain the kitting area to support efficient set-up preparation. * Perform machine make-ready activities, including loading and removing print cylinders, materials, laminations, dies, scoring equipment, and related components in accordance with standard work procedures. * Assist Press Operators with the set-up and adjustment of auxiliary equipment. * Ensure all tools and equipment are returned to the designated preproduction areas after set-up completion. * Assist in other departments or production areas as needed. * Work collaboratively with Prepress and Production team members to support customer satisfaction, cost control, and on-time performance. In support of our exciting and audacious exhibition schedule, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston seeks to expand our mount making expertise by enlisting the creative skills and services of experienced mount makers in one of the following classifications: Full time, fully benefited employment; Part Time employment; Contract employment; Definition In close coordination with Conservators and Curators, the Mount Maker position is responsible for designing and fabricating mounts that adhere to the highest professional standards of museums and create the desired display conditions. These mounts and their associated support structures are intended to ensure the physical stability, security, and proper display of objects in both the permanent collection and those on loan, facilitating a suitable and safe exhibition of the museum's vast and diverse collection. A variety of materials will be used, including but not limited to metals, wood, plastics, and fabric.
